It is not possible to use link template on sidebar view. You can use other Archive Page views with link templates.

If you are trying to remove details page link from card template then clone the card template and remove the link from the title.

Yes, it is possible using custom link/page template. You can create a new template from Downloads Templates page. Use template editor to create a custom template.

Add following code in your theme’s functions.php file, this will redirect the user to the package page instead of downloading “permission-denied.txt” file when the user is not logged in.

Page Template from package settings won’t work with WPDM 2015. Because it is using a fixed page template style. You have to use normal 2015 theme if you want to apply “Page Template”  from package settings.

Please check now. Something was wrong with your “Program Resources” category. I have deleted old category and created a new one which is identical. Now looks like everything is okay.

You got the right add-on. Directory add-on is also known as WPDM Archive page.

You can use the license only in a single site at a time. We have to unlock it from the local site when you move to the production server finally.

The issue is related to the theme. WPDM 2015  theme uses ignores “Page Template” option from package settings. It uses it’s fixed page template style.
