Silly question – Did you update the package when file upload was completed?
Please check your /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files/ directory to find if file upload was successful. This maybe related to big file upload as it worked for me ( tested with 14 MB file ).
If still having the issue, here is the solution.
Upload your files first to the /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files/ directory using FTP client. Then attach the file from that dir.

5. Package List does not serve download of selected packages at once. This addon helps the user to create lists of packages. If you want to download preselected files at once then you need File Cart addon.
Bulk import does not upload files from your computer.
Your files have to be stored on /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files/ before you bulk import the CSV file. If files are stored in that directory you just have to write the filename(s) under files column in CSV file. Otherwise, you have to write the publicly accessible URL to attach the file as URL.

So, first FTP upload you files to the /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files/ directory. Then import the CSV file.
Those files will be accessible via the share link. So, those files are actually secure.

Allow access field is empty for “UI Pack” package. It’s category “Products” is accessible by “demo” user role from category settings. So, “UI Pack” is shown when you login as demo user ( demo/demo )
Now I need to check your installation as admin to find if your issue is related to any other plugin conflict. Or if you can please re-create the scenario in our demo site.
About the zip file, files from URL are not packed with zip because WPDM can only access files that are stored on your server. So, It doesn’t include remote files with zip. You are correct about the missing info. We will add this in doc soon.
There is no way to remove the link from the first category only. If you want to remove all links has to be removed.

Please use sortable tabele ( jstable=1 ) [wpdm-all-packages items_per_page="20" jstable=1] for now. We will check this issue with pagination and add the patch in next update.

And then attached another file and updated the package. Download worked fine this time too.
Could you please check again Or point me to the package where you are facing the file disappearing issue during update?

Use “Single Column, Extended, Playlist” page template to show playlist Or create a custom template using [play_list] template tag.
The email issue may be related to Form Lock compatibility with the free version. We might have to send a simple email for the WPDM free version. If it is possible we suggest Pro version.

You can do both, no need to stick to only one option.

Those texts can only be changed using a language file. You have to make your translation from WPDM language file from /download-manager/languages/ dir.
We have added tex-domain translate those texts so language file will take care of the translation.

I noticed 2 images in download details page. But this doesn’t look like related to Download Manager.
There are 2 images in your normal post too. Here is the post http://wordpress.gfa-germany.de/?p=29 Those 2 images are visible even after deactivating Download Manager. So, it must be something with your image (banner) widget settings.
The update solution is available in v.4.6.9 So you will see it in effect in next version.
Update to v.4.6.9 has to be done manually. But next one 4.7.0 can be done from your dashboard.
It is possible to get custom data using Form Lock. But there is no way to use a predefined password with form lock.
If you are trying to get user email and trying to lock package with a password, the best option is allowing downloads only to registered users. You will know then who downloaded which package.

Please ask your server support to update your PHP version. Download Manager requires PHP >= 5.4

Really sorry about the issue. We have already fixed it in latest version of Download Manager ( 4.6.9 )
Now updates will work without any issue. WPDM update process is now integrated with core update routine.

It is not possible. You can enable both but only one lock is required to get access to the file.
In that case, the only option is using a package password. And all files will be downloaded a zipped file.
Please make sure you are using the latest version of WPDM. If you are using WPDM in a multisite environment activate it separately on each sub-site. Do not network activate WPDM.

Those images looked same even after deactivating Download Manager.

Details page button was empty in settings. I have selected the same button you selected for Link Template. Now image button is back.
