You can also try these steps,

1.Install and activate zlib
2.In PHP.ini set zlib.output_compression = On.
3.Install php7.4-zip, php7.3-zip and php7.0-zip

I have meant other options too like the select files option, select from the server option for the zipped file, because, the zlib error is causing for the multiple files making them zip, I haven’t tried yet from your site uploading a zip file though. you can check it also.

1. Generally, when you upload multiple files, it creates a zip download file. However, you can upload it from Attach dir with a zip file not uploading multiple files. you can use other options too.

2. You can disable the download button by giving the access role, and you can also check the option Downloads > Settings > Basic > When the user is not allowed to download. Thus you can hide the button

Here, One line code has been $preview = wp_get_attachment_url($preview); updated. for that, it may be missing the earlier additional images. Earlier code settings maybe now deprecated.
