you can follow one of these steps for now,

1 ) Deactivate and delete the old version. You won’t lose any data.
2 ) Download latest version from here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
3 ) Install the latest version and activate the license key.

All email template variables you shall find Downloads > Templates > Email Templates in the Email Template Editor right sidebar. please check if your info variable is there or not. If need custom email template variables there needs to customize the code or some adjustments.

Have you checked this option as I image attached?

It is under every category.

Category access for roles and packages follow these steps as I describe below,

before giving access to a certain category for a particular role you have to set Use Link Template option and your particular role,

then you have to make empty forAllow Access option or giving a particular role on package settings,

because Package Access = Package Access + All Category Access = All Visitors + Subscribers = All Visitors

and Package Access = Package Access empty + Category Access(Subscribers) = Subscribers

or Package Access = Package Access(subscriber) + Category Access(Subscribers) = Subscribers

Everything is working fine now. I have removed the message from Downloads > Settings > Basic

Download Limit Message:

Sorry for getting late back to you. you should update the add on if they are old, I have updated the membership add on to the latest version and there need to select the membership page as I image attached,

I have added the shortcode in your page and save the settings also. now everything should work fine. please check and add the payment method from settings.

This is not possible now, however for removing just old files you can just hover on the package and keep them delete like the image attached,

you can also customize the page template by removing the main download button or can use another page template and keep the old single files.
