Hi Shahriar,

Thanks I’m still not completely clear about it.

Should the Member buy a Plan to see the video? So I set up a new Plan for each video?

Or can they buy access to one video through the cart somehow?

I just ask because I don’t want to set up 100 Plans for 100 videos and then find I did it wrong.

Many thanks,
Mike

Sorry I was wrong about that. I had my access control set wrong. Seems I wasn’t very logical 😀

Please note that I am a user, not support staff.

You can set defaults using this addon. It might already be available to you if you bought one of the packs where it is included.

Shahriar,

I thought I had upgraded properly to version 5 but I must have done something wrong because I have now deleted and reinstalled version 5 and all seems to be fine!

I’ll double-check everything and mark this topic resolved if all is well. We can look into other minor issues later in another thread.

Many thanks!
Mike

PS: I know, I know, it’s always me not you! Cheers.

Hi Shahriar,

Any news on this? To give me the basic functionality I need to be able to let allowed members download packages that have a zero base price.

Thanks,
Mike

After the updates today I changed the status of the Package to draft and I made a new Package which was a copy. I used slightly different names and paths so that the zip, slugs etc would be different but the issue remains the same.

I’ve promoted the user to admin (the user was a superadmin on the network).

I’ll enable debug logs now.

Yes sorry I mean users. I have a membership site so I keep calling them members.

Users in my site have several Roles plus the WPDM Roles.

I use this shortcode in several places – [wpmembership]

It would be great to have one for users who are not WPDM Members if that is possible?

These would be Subscribers who joined the site without adding a WPDM Plan. Because the site already has ways for them to join without a WPDM Plan. The shortcode would let me display messages or links where they need to upgrade to access something…. like for example:

[no-wpmembership]You need to <a href="xyz">Subscribe to a VIP Plan</a> to access the video.[/no-wpmembership]
[wpmembership level="2"]You need to Upgrade to a <a href="xyz">VIP Plan</a> to access the video.[/wpmembership]
[wpmembership level="3"]Your Subscription Plan allows you to view the video. Thanks for your support![/wpmembership]

The way you used Roles is brilliant thinking because it means I can show or hide many different things to WPDM Members anywhere in my site.

Like on a downloads page or other page in wordpress. So that I can try to encourage them to upgrade 🙂
