Maybe it’s because you had a capital T in the word ‘Title’?

It sounds as though you could use this too:

order_by=”additional-restraint-applications” order=”asc”

Try – order_by=”id” order=”asc”

I’m looking here to try to work it out:

Short-codes

Just so that we are clear about what I’m waiting for: I need to be able to update the dates when Members Plans started.

Because I’ve had to add the existing Members to plans manually, their start dates are not correct. I need to update the start dates of their Plans so that their next renewal date will be correct.

This is urgent because some members plans will expire soon.

Hi rk5000,

I have just checked a similar page in my site and it says – order_by=”post_title” order=”asc”

I hope that fixes it for you.

I have implemented a different plugin to display the first few pages but I’m still hoping you will be able to with a way to display a few pages from within WPDM. For example, if I have a protected PDF but I add a Free PDF to the package it would be good for it to display the Free PDF.

My temporary solution in case it helps someone is to add a PDF viewer plugin and it displays the PDF in the Description field:

https://technicskeyboard.com/download/techplus-magazine-2002-issue-1/

By the way, I am learning (starting to understand) how to use WPDM templates. They are set up in a good way, I like it.

And also how to turn captur off? They should be logged in to add a review, right? So captur is not necessary.

Did you add this? I can’t find it,

Users have been leaving reviews for files that they have not downloaded, I want to prevent that so I don’t have to delete their fake reviews.

Thanks I really appreciate this.

Can I adjust this somehow so that one Page Template can download mp3s but another Page Template can only preview them?

Do you have an ETA yet?

I like that too. This thread has helped because before then I have been searching for my username in the forums to find my topics :))

I see. The plugin description says “But you may use this viewer to show protect/members-only documents too”. What does that mean?

Is there a way I can use Premium Package but also to have a few pages in a separate PDF working through the viewer? Or the free viewer? Because I want to display the index of the main document.

I note that you have logged in.

Note that the above link is showing 404 because I changed the status to ‘Draft’ so that my members don’t see it until it is ready.

I don’t mind you changing the status while you find out what is wrong but let me know if you do.

My request is to be able to do it on the All Packages page, which is different to what the Default Values plugin does (but that is a great plugin too).

Shahriar,

Thank you. I’ve received your other messages, very helpful.

1) Thank you for the explanation, I think I’ll be able to do that. In my case there’s an increased problem because I need to have free and paid files for each ‘set’ of files, for 7 different versions of files (to suit different models of keyboards). I call my sets of files “Series”… and there can be easily 10,000 individual files to manage within a series, inside various zips etc.

2) Thanks, I’m struggling a bit with templates. I’ll try this when I can but I’ve also asked if you can quote to make a few templates for me in another thread, if you have the time.

3) That would be really awesome! I know things take time, if I can get the feature sometime in the future that will be great.

Yes you’re right that looks very similar to what I need. Can you say a few words about how you made that please?

OK I see we can’t add files to gigs. I’ll wait for answers to my queries above.

Is there any way to enable individual downloads for the free files that are added?

If we can’t, unfortunately, I don’t think this is going to work for me.

Maybe I’ll look into whether extra gigs can do it. If I make the main product free and the paid product an extra gig, will they both have individual file downloads?

I’m loving wpdm guys but oh boy it takes so many hours of experimenting to see what things it can do.

I suggest that you enable commenting on your documentation pages, so that people can ask their questions on the correct, relevant page when they don’t understand something. Then, you could delete their comment after updating the docs.

Shahriar,

You need to add the information about how to add the free button to your documentation! I’ve spent three hours trying to find this out and now I found this forum post by using Google search. It is very difficult to search for anything containing the search terms ‘free files download’ this phrase is all over the Internet!

I have some queries about this now please:

1 – I added the button but it displays the same Link Label as the main package. I need it to have a different Link Label, such as “Download Free Files”, so that members can tell the difference between the download buttons. My main button Link label is Download All Files (because I also have enabled individual files to be downloaded, so I want the main button to say something extra, other than ‘Download’.

2 – Second, On my site I need a free download and a paid members download. However, I dont want the paid member levels to see the free download button (because the free downloads are already available in their paid packages). How could I do that please?

PS your site is looking better every day.

Many thanks,
DesignServe
