So, I got the date import to work, but I still can’t get category mapping to work.
Its still not working for me. Any row in the file that has a date in the created_date or update_date gets skipped and the category does not map when I use the slug or category_ID. I am using 4.0.5. I have attached the sample file I am using.
Shaon – is there something I may be missing? Being able to display the archive page for just a category is important for us?
I downloaded version 4.0.5 which said it fixed some csv import issues. Now the categories still don’t import and any record with a date in the created date or update date columns fails to import. Are these supposed to be fixed or did the format change?
Any update on when these fixes will be available? Thx
Thanks – That works.
I added a field called monthyear and put in a link template and I see [custom month year] instead of the value. Am I missing something? Do I need the custom field add-on?
I think there is a bug here because I see the same behavior. The sub-categories don’t display and I still get all packages not just the category I used jn the shortcode. If I change the shortcode to say category=118 for the id, I get the subcategory buttons, but I still get the complete list of downloads instead of just the ones in the category.
You can use a wordpress plugin to order the categories. We use Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order.
Thanks – Do you have a planned timeframe for updating the WPDM Directory Add on yet?
Thx
Importing the create and update dates also does not work.
So, the document type recognition is working, but categories still of not import.
Thanks for responding. We finally found the problem and It was not related to the download manager.
Any idea why the plugin would have broken our permalinks or how to fix it? This has happened on on two sub-sites now. We really like the plugin, but we need to use month and name permalinks. I can’t give you a temporary login because this is a large live multisite.
I should have also mentioned that the issue is only on the sub site where I activated version 4.04 of the Download Manager.
So we went ahead and patched the file and now it breaks our permalinks. We can only use default permalinks instead of month and name. If we use anything other then the default permalink setting, no pages on the site will display – it always redirects to the main blog page. We have deactivated and uninstalled the plugin but the permalinks are still broken. How do we resolve this?
Any chance of getting a 4.0.4 patch for 3.5.1 soon?
Unfortunately, we can’t provide even temporary access to anyone outside the organization. Is it possible to get a patch we can install?
Can you help us on this one?
Is there a reset button now? If so, how do I show it?
Will there be an RC3 that fixes the csv import before then?
Thanks – yes, I am talking about the archive page add-on. Once, you select a category or subcategory to filter, the list of download packages changes, but the color or style of the button doesn’t change to show which category you are looking at.
Should the bulk import be working yet?
Great – Thanks
