Thanks for the quick response. We have resolved the issue. It was related to Cloudflare document caching.
Thanks – that would be great.
believe I have figured out a workable solution with the lates release of Download Manager. I am able to use a direct link to a download manager category page and have the listing show the search and link template of my choice. However, the title of the category and breadcrumbs are missing. I have turned off all other plugins except download manager, the archive page, default values and tiny mce add-on and switched to the 2019 theme to verify that there are no conflicts with your plugin.
Can you please tell me how to get my page to show the title and the breadcrumb as shown in your demo here – https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/downloads/free-downloads/?
https://hr.staging18.gsu.edu/downloads/benefits-health-wellness/ – The title should be Benefits Health & Wellness
No – I do not need filtering. We already have that. I need the deep linking to a specific category that was previously provided as a script for us to customize the plugin for that. Can you please talk to the developer who provided this customization in the past? https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/open-archive-page-with-a-specific-category-preselected/
Your demo does not meet my needs. I need deep linking to a specific category using a query string variable like was provided to me before s a customization. As I described, I need to be able to do this- https://hr.gsu.edu/forms/?category=1048 and have the category pre-filtered when the page is loaded.
Unfortunately, the sidebar view does not meet our needs as it is incomplete. It does notprovide the keyword search, sorting, filtering and subcategory navigation which is critical. We have had this functionality provided by your team as a customization to the add-on . It has worked with all forms of the shortcode. That’s what we need in order o continue to use your product. We have been going back and forth on this for weeks. If you are unwilling to take this to the team and provide an updated customization script please let us kn now so we can look for alternative plugins to meet our needs.
Thanks – just to be clear. We need to put a category on a page that has subcategories and then we need to be able not link to the page with a specific category already selected via the link. For example, https://hr.gsu.edu/forms is the page and I can deep ink to the benefits category via https://hr.gsu.edu/forms/?category=1048. We have this customization but I don’t know how to migrate it to the latest add-on code base which has changed significantly.
Yes – thank you for the response.
It’s now been two weeks with no response here. This is very disappointing. We are a long time user and have always had great support until recently. If this continues, we will have to look for a new solution.
At this point, I am very disappointed in the responsiveness of your support. We are a long time user and have always had great support in the past. I have indicated that this is critical to us at this time but we are getting no response. We need to know how to migrate the previously provided customization to the latest version of the Archive Add-on asap.
Thanks
This is critical to us – wr can’t use your product without this in many cases. Here is the link to the previous ticket where the solution was provided. I just need to know how to do the same thing with the new code in the latest version.
Thanks but this doesn’t help. Front end uploads requires me to pick a user role and these are public visitors who will never login to the site or have a role or profile.
The functionality was as described above. We have one download manager page created with the WPDM Archive Page add-on with multiple categories. We had the ability to deep link to a specific category on that page using a query string variable called category. So, when the page was loaded, the category in the query string was already selected.
Yes – that’s correct. The user will be a visitor with no login access to the site.
Thanks, but I don’t understand what this means or what you are saying the impact is. How do I use it? Is this a new setting somewhere?
It’s been 6 days since we requested information. Please let me know how we can remove the session cache creation for now. Thanks
Thank you – I have been hearing soon since February. We are at the point where we are going to have to remove your plugin. We have over 300 large sites with millions of visitors. We need to disable this feature ASAP. Please tell us how we can do this.
Please provide an update on this ASAP or provide a patch to remove it. This is crippling our site backend performance.
I see that an update came out on April 18 but I can’t find any change log information. Was the session cache issue addressed?
Thanks
Any update on when the session cache auto clearing option will be available? Thanks
Thanks for the update.
Could I get an answer on this? This is a big deal to us. If you can just tell us where to comment out the code that uses this, we can do that. Thanks
This not related to our site cache which is stored in a completely separate location. We can clear that. This is specifically related to the wpdm-cache folder which stores session cache and you have to go to Downloads/Settings/Privacy. I have found other very recent support tickets where users were told they had to manually hit the delete session cache on the page and there is currently no way to turn it off. We really need to know what we cannot comment out in your code to prevent this from writing the session cache files at all.
Thanks
Thanks!
Could I please get access to either the 4.9.7 patch for the single download problem or the 4.9.8 install files? Thanks
