yes, but if you are using wpdm pro 4.0.0 rc1, the add-on still will not work for you as we didn’t converted all add-on yet.
@ThomasCrown, please at least share an url so that I can check where you facing problem and suggest you the solution properly.
wpdm pro don’t need special search option anymore as it already moved to cpt, regular seach feature with wp will work fine for wpdm pro 4.0
now wpdm pro v4.0 rebuilt with cpt and you will be able to use wp’s regular search feature. no extra option will be required for that.
sorry for delayed reply, we are in heavy load with wpdm pro v4.0 release. anyhow in wpdm 4.0 , it moved to custom post type and category uses custom taxonomy and you can use any category re-order plugin to sort that.
please make download-manager plugin files writable, we may need to edit some file to test the issue.

btw, you may move to wpdm pro 4.0 , as wpdm pro move to custom post type there, which will resolve some issues automatically and will give me more flexibility like regular post/page. But still you may get some minor issue there (anyhow they will not cause any functional trouble) and we are working on those.
actually not ignored. you may say little delayed, as we are in heavy load with finalizing wpdm pro v.4.0, anyhow we have released rc1 where all issue form beta 1 already fixed.
problem was the base url value for wpdmrss was missing in wpdm settings page. we set the value and its working fine.
what type of error are you seeing there, may you please send a temporary wp-admin login info to support@wpdownloadmanager.com to check your issue.
now its rc1, anyhow still may have few minor issues, we are checking and clearing those. rc2 coming soon. Thanks for your patience.

for login form, use short-code [loginform] in Login Required Message under wpdm settings page. first part ( with subscriber ) of you query is not clear to me

1. delete all data in beta 1
2. delete wpdm 4 beta
3. please download and install rc 1
4. delete migration add-on,
5. download the add-on again and re-install
6. migrate data again.
It will work fine now.
