yes, from wpdm pro v4 its is using custom taxonomy and some other options from v3 is deprecated here.

that is not an issue actually. you can add all files in same package or create package separately and set access = the user groups/role you want to allow access to that package. that it, any one outside of the role will not have access to that package.

yes. But if your server block exe file, you may need to upload trrough ftp. anyhow you can attach any files from server with download package using server file browser.
