That is not issue with the plugin, you don’t need to detach file when uploading same file again, simple upload the same file and update the package, after update in file list there will be only the latest version of the file.
Customer can change billing details from User Dashboard ► Edit Profile.

Downloads may open in browser for 3 reasons:
1. when you enable “Open in browser” option
2. When you attach file as URL
3. When you add files from media library
To force download, you need to keep “Open in browser” option disabled and upload directly using wpdm or attach file using server file browser.
