@willthing, the issue with with the event calendar plugin, the event calendar dev contacted with us about the, I told them about this, probably they are working on it.

@UnitecGmbH, Yes, if you are trying from front-end, you need to setup file size option from front-end settings, but if you are trying from admin side, please give me temporary wp-admin login info, I’ll check..

it will not get corrupted after update, it only happened once when it was migrating to custom post type, the will not be any change change like that in future.
