I’ve tested the url http://dearestdebi.com/debis-easter-weekend-mystery-fun from all browsers and everywhere got it working. As the download link here is plugin, it never should expire, Also here https://www.facebook.com/dearestdebi/photos/a.228126997212785.83253.227946347230850/1126401070718702/?type=1&theater no one said it expiring. I also tested from iPhone 6 and Android Tab ( ES File Manager & Adobe PDF Reader installed ) , everywhere it worked fine.

However if you want to do that right now, please open wpdm-functions.php , replace line #4413 ( in wpdm v4.2.1 ) with $data['icon'] = "<img class='wpdm_icon' align='left' alt='{$data['title']}' src='" . plugins_url() . "/{$data[icon]}' />";

The short-code is available wit http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-directory-add-on/ , but if you just want to place it in a side bar you will not need the add-on, just use wpdm categories widget.

Yes, it only display file name, when you upload from edit package window, that shouldn’t cause any issue, but if you seeing download issue in any url please give me that to check.
