Hello Sitcom Software,
Hope you are well. Thanks for writing this. We have introduced AI for WPDM for the latest version. You shall find it from Downloads > Settings > AI Settings
. After setting credentials properly you are able to create templates with AI from Downloads > Templates > Create Page Template/ Link template
section. Please kindly check and let me know.
Thank you and kind regards
The download was not working properly, because of you enabling flat download link, it may not work properly for different servers settings. And can you let me know how you are generating this download link, https://midsouthdiagnostics.com/wpdm-download/CH7JR5GnFFAMB-AXpGyEE65NBqf2fhFsR2i3BG816cTcgYCnYeHFoyhlbXqmMOKhzNKBS8O027F9kwYLtazXd7VY94ZF8ARMqr4Y61N1fG0WiIrgdCil_DMNOyP9UJSX, please kindly check and let me know.
Thank you and kind regards
We are unable to access the link as the error is occurring on that page. Could you please temporarily disable the Download Manager from your end and let us know once it’s done, so we can access the page?

After the last update, I am no longer able to use the “download page” links when creating a Generate Temporary Download Link on a package. The page now renders a blank blue page instead of the correct info. Please see link below.
Can you please let me know what is causing this to happen? Thank you so much for you help.
Thanks Nayeem,
I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind.
1. In the documentation, you say I can sync the hosted files to AWS. But will they still be linked to the same packages I have them linked to currently? Or do I have to manually link them to the packages after pushing files to the bucket?
2. Is there no option to offer “Download All” files as a zip when using Amazon? Is there no workaround for that?
3. Is it the same Asset Manager that is used to browse hosted files? Can you limit access to specified buckets and not show all?
Hello Irek,
Hope you are well. Thanks for writing to us.
We have these and extended features for Amazon S3 add-on, some I have listed from add-on page,
✅ Explore Amazon S3 files
✅ Create New Bucket
✅ Upload File to Amazon S3
✅ Create a Temporary Download Link with an expiration period
✅ Auto-sync old package files to S3
✅ Direct upload files to amazon s3
✅ Arrange files to package-specific folders ( package ID )
For more details, You can check the details about amazon s3 add-on here, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wordpress-amazon-s3-storage-plugin/

Yes, just the numbers and information. No links for the following:
1. view count
2. download count
3. file size
4. package size
5. create date4
6. modify date
Could you please share the URL of the downloads table where you have used the repeater links?
Hello,
I hope this message finds you well and thanks for reaching out.
Could you kindly confirm if you’re asking to display only the download count and file size of a package, without showing the download link? Please let me know if that’s correct.
Regards
BTY, I somehow managed to show the repeater links but after clicking the link, it goes to the package’s url instead of downloading file. Can you please tell how to use the download_link there?
Thanks.

Thank you for your quick response.
I tried that and it links to the file but it doesn’t prevent unauthorized access to the file.
If you click on this link, you will be able to download it even though you’re not logged in to my site,

Hello,
I’m trying to achieve something using the Download manager plugin and hoping you can guide me on how to do it.
I want to upload files and have them protected to be downloaded only by certain user roles I’ve already configured.
I was able to achieve that via the plugin interface, but I need to get a link for each file to add to a custom field I created so that it shows up on my page
https://share.nmblc.cloud/1736183147088-screenshot-cellmicrosystems_boldfocus_com-2025_01_06-12_05_34.png
The link on my page will appear only to the user role I configured, which is already set in Elementor.
My question is after I upload a file to the Download manager plugin, how do I get the direct link to add to my custom field?
Also, if someone has teh direct link to this file but doesn’t have the user privileges I set when uploading it will he be able to access the file or not?
Thank you.

We have set up the AWS S3 cloud storage plugin on our website.
The primary use is to offload PDF attachments used in Learndash courses. We use the wpml_direct_link shortcode to display and protect documents so they can be accessed directly in LearnDash courses by eligible students.
For new packages everything appears to be working as expected. New files we add to Download Manager are saved to S3, and they work as expected when linked to the course with wpml_direct_link.
We have then set up auto-sync to offload our existing download packages to the same S3 bucket. When the cron job is active, this works and it begins to offload the files with the oldest first.
However, when we try to access the offloaded existing documents we get an XML ‘Access Denied’ message in the browser window.
What extra steps are needed to allow existing packages to be used with the wpml_direct_link shortcode?
Hi, I have a shortcode that looks like this:
[wpdm_all_packages login=1 thumb=1 items_per_page="20" categories="meeting-materials" jstable=1 order_by="publish_date" order="DESC" cols="title|categories|publish_date|download_link" colheads="Title::80%|Categories|Publish Date|Download::155px"]
I’d like to be able to display files by date, such that I want to publish everything from 2024, or publish everything before 2024. Is this something we can do with your shortcodes? If not, do you have a solution?
Thanks!
Brendan
Thank you for providing this documentation, but these do not seem to work in a link-template which I’ve put in our themes folder.
(e.g. wp-content/{our-theme}/download-manager/link-templates/link-template-custom.php )
Are we only allowed to use the predefined shortcodes or can php functions be used?
I have been using Download Manager Pro since November 2022, it has always worked very well but the last few months users are notifying me that when they go to download some material and enter the email to send them the download link, this link does not reach them.
I have checked and indeed, it does not work and no email arrives.
I would like to know how to solve it, thank you.

Currently, there are no available filters to fetch ACF repeater links in the all_packages shortcode.
To achieve your desired outcome, you can customize the file located at /wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/Package/views/all-packages-shortcode.php
. Alternatively, if you’d prefer assistance, you can reach out to our customization team by visiting this link and we will be happy to assist you with the customization.

For unique URL/link for each document, the locked packages single file download option will not be visible. And while downloading the package it will give a zip file for all files for the related packages. I hope yu have understood. Please kindly check.
Thank you and regards
I’m not sure what you mean. As I have already explained multiple times, I would like:
1. The user to only have to fill out the form once.
2. A unique URL/link for each document.
I don’t particularly care how that’s set up, as long as it works.
We’ve decided because of the short timeline to try to set everything up within one package: https://www.valtris.com/download/esg-highlights/. This allows me to download one of the individual files the first time I fill out the form and click “Download”, but every time I click “Download” after that – even for one of the individual files rather than the big “Download” button at the bottom – it gives me a .zip of all of the files.
I don’t expect this will be able to be fixed before our go-live. However, I am very disappointed that this plugin is so buggy and the features don’t work as advertised.
I tried what your screenshot showed, and that only gives me a download link for the whole package, not for individual files. The generated link seems to be time-limited, and when I go to it and click “Download” it does not show me the form. So this feature is of no help to me at all.
