All those are totally depends on link/page template, if you replace
[page_link]with[title]link to details page will be removed. And if you remove[file_list]or disable individual download, then user will not be able to download individual file.In reply to: download does not display a progress message

I installed the entire premium package, but the plugin is not working correctly. I have a downloads page setup using Archive, the category buttons show but are out of line, and the drop down for sub-categories also doesnt work. None of my downloads show up either. Ive also tried viewing the downloads via direct link and i get a blank page. I tried reinstalling the plugins. Any ideas?

Im interested in purchasing this plugin and I have looked everything for a way to contact you guys with a few questions. So I resorted to posting here. I am working on a new website community that will be mainly based of downloads, and I am doing research into which plugin will work best. I was set on this plugin at first, until I did more research. Ive already used the free version, so I decided to look into purchasing pro. I checked out the demo for awhile going through every page and feature and it seemed to be the closet to what im looking for that ive found yet at least. Then I realized that the “demo” of Pro, is not the base plugin. The website you portray to be the “demo” of “Download Manager Pro” seems to include every additional add-on you guys also offer on this website. This scares me because if I purchase the plugin and the key features I need are missing I will be irate. I am still interested in the plugin but I have a lot of questions first.

I am interested in buying this package, but you offer very few details about it.– IF i purchase this will i receive the newest version of Download Manager Pro?
– What is “WPDM MicroForm” the link does not work….?

– Does this package include 24/7 support?I am interested in this package, but I also need reviews and after realizing you are charging extra for something that is included in the demo I am wondering if i purchase this will my website have reviews?
Also I want to know everything that is in the demo that will NOT be included in my purchase. I believe you guys should not have a so called “demo” version of your addon with tons of plugins integrated that you are charging extra for. Your “demo” should include EXACTLY what comes with the addon if you purchase it. Nothing less and ESPECIALLY nothing more.

Do you think there may be a way to have the neat popup effect of [download_link], rather than the [download_link_extended] display with credentials, that I don’t like much?
Do you have any idea how I could go about solving js conflicts you mentioned ? Any advice to go about it.

it was because “Block Hotlink” was enabled, when the add-on is enabled, you can’t use direct link or link download directly from external site.

the feature still experimental and released with limited option. Need to activate “Individual File Download” for document preview. It is not a bug. If you use

I’m currently using version 2.7.0 and are running into a problem after searching for a download. If I browse to a page with a download link, it works fine – http://kes.sheffield.sch.uk/documents/school-rules-policies/
If you search the site for the document, you’ll get a list of clickable results, but don’t work. When clicked, you get an “Internal Server Error” – http://kes.sheffield.sch.uk//?s=Day+to+Day+Rules+for+Students+Lower+School+Sept+2012
Any ideas? I wonder if its a problem with permalinks, but sure how to fix.

I have used this plugin a few times and bought it in the past for a couple of websites.
Just added the free version to a website and added my packages, but for some reason when i’m on the downloads page and click the “Download” link on a file, I get a 404 error?Never had this issue before, so please could you look into this and advise?

I have been reviewing the addon and think I have figured it out. I have setup the page template as I would like it to appear. I do have a question about the process…
When I put the short link into a page, it does not display the page template I have setup. It simply displays a regular download link where the item can be downloaded – but without paying. I am guessing the way around this is to set up the shop page to link to the individual items so the cart shows up and works. Unless you have a different approach, I can work with that.
However, the my-shop page doesn’t seem to be working correctly. First the code – [wpdm-pp-frontend] – views when you view the page (which doesn’t happen on the other pages) and the continue shopping link on the cart does not link to the my-shop page, even though I have changed that setting. The code also views on the checkout page. But I have gone through the checkout process and it seems to be working fine.
The cart and my order page seem to be working properly, but I cannot figure out why the my-shop page isn’t.
Can you please look at it again?

2. After using the twitter it turns in to a download button that really looks ugly.
3. Please arrange the social icons. Pinterest icon is on twitter button.

1) sorry for that, but there was no other way 🙁
2) sometime category assignment fails for taxonomy slug change, need to apply manually using quick edit option, again sorry for that.
3) I can help you to set same link template for all package editing some code, also you can use this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-tinymce-button/ to generate short-code and while inserting short-code, you also can select link template to apply for that package.

Just upgraded to PRO and got things working on the back end (thanks Shaon).I dropped my shortcode in to display all packages, but it appears styling isn’t being applied (screenshot attached)
The site isn’t public yet, otherwise I’d give you a direct link.
NOTE: The downloads included an EXPO theme? Is that required? Where does it get uploaded to?

There is no link to go here: http://www.irsa-stringers.com/download/tecnifibre-tf6000 ” <– also it is your theme issue, probably your theme is not optimized for custom post type, anyhow I activate download link from settings ( http://www.irsa-stringers.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=wpdmpro&page=settings&tab=frontend category page options )no such templating option, but you can add both link as remote url and activate individual download.

Hello,
I’m trying to migrate my packages from version 3 to 4 and running into all kinds of issues. I’m hoping you might have some insight for me.
1) The shortcodes are all changing I understand from your other posts that this is unavoidable but with just over 500 packages this is a huge headache.
2) The categories aren’t being assigned to the packages after migration again with 500+ packages this is a lot of manual work to go through and reassign each package to the proper categories.
3) The link styling seems to reset to the default and the only place I can set a package to use my custom link template is on the package screen. I’ve tried setting it in the settings page and on the category page but making the change on those 2 pages has no effect.
4) Also the links for each package don’t seem to work after the migration. I’m using the [download_link] shortcode in my custom link template and and if I click the download button it just takes me to the directory of where the file is not to the file itself. Which means I need to manually re-link each package.Any suggestions on how to get around these issues would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have this package http://www.smartchange.it/download/smartchange-app/ that embeds the download buttons for the Play Store and the App Store. The buttons are two normal buttons, not managed in WPDM Pro.
Below, at the end of the post, i have a “Scarica” link that is managed in WPDM Pro, but its not what i want.
I’d like something this: when i click on the wpdm link/button i get the two official buttons, and i can choose what i need (paly sotre ofr Android or App Store for iOS). What’s the template i have to use for obtain this?
