I have Download Manager 4.2.2 installed. Currently, when users click on a link to a download package, they are then taken to a page (page/link template)containing a link to the package. They then have to click on that link to access the package. How can I configure my options so that when package links are clicked, the package is immediately downloaded/opened. In other words, I don’t want users to have to click a link multiple times to get the package – I just want the package to open the first time they click on the link.

I am hearing from customers that the downloads are not working. I have the email lock set up. They are suppose to get a download immediately as well as a link sent to them. However they are not getting an immediate download and when they click the link that is sent to them it says their limited has been exceeded.

We’re creating new WordPress sites entirely in SSL and if I log into the WP admin interface on such SSL sites, Download Manager inserts HTML that isn’t “SSL-safe”, causing mixed content warnings. Here’s what happens:

* Download Manager Pro plugin installed and active on SSL site.

* The main admin interface page has this HTML inserted by Download Manager that causes a mixed content warning (yes, it does say “wpdmvarsion”!):

And, yes, there is a valid secure cert on https://cdn.wpdownloadmanager.com/
so it could have been prefixed with // instead of http://.

* If you load in the iframe URL, this has further issues in its HTML:

<<span class=”start-tag”>link</span> <span class=”attribute-name”>href</span>=’http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Source+Sans+Pro:300,900‘ <span class=”attribute-name”>rel</span>=’stylesheet‘ <span class=”attribute-name”>type</span>=’text/css‘>

This http:// link prevents any attempt to workaround the mixed content warning issue (e.g. with mod_substitute, WordPress for HTTPS etc.).
It should of course start with ‘//fonts.googleapis.com/…

It would be nice if these two simple (and near-identical) fixes were added to the next Download Manager release.

I have bought your plugin and read all the documentation, however I am still struggling with a few things.

1. I have linked my page http://www.mbizana.gov.za/download/resources/  to Dropbox. In dropbox I have created a main folder with sub folders with files in. How do I get my page to display the folders, as there is going to be many folders and files uploaded by the client via dropbox and I can’t go and add each one individually.  Users should be able to browse within one window between different folders.

2. How do I get the Download link away and replace it with a View link that will view the documents in an embedded viewer. Downloads should not be allowed.

Please help me as soon as you can.

I have been using WPDM for a few weeks with no problems. I use a custom link template that shows a small preview of the image being downloaded. However, this evening I added another download. After I added the download I checked my downloads page and the preview images are no longer there. Only the name of the file is present. I have no idea what I could have done to change this. I am attaching a picture of my download link to show you what I am getting. You have to click on the link to be taken to the page where you can see the image that you are downloading. Please help!

I would like to refresh the files available to subscribers each day with updated values. So, I have a symbolic link under the wp-content directory to a directory that mirrors an FTP site each day. The files download from the interface are from the original time that I set up the package.  I can’t figure out where wp download pro is pulling the files from. Any thoughts?

We purchased the wpdownload pro, accordion and default values to work a certain way. We needed the accordion style and want to use a certain template we created. More or less, when you expand the category with accordion, we want a direct link to the download.

So..When I click on an accordion category to expand it is not using the template we set using your default values plugin.

Please tell me you did make these two plugins works with each other. I can’t imagine you didn’t.
