Downloading the ZIP package works indeed.
The single file downloads, however, don’t. They show the “link expired” message.
To reproduce:
* enter the password in password box on the left of the green download button, e.g. Security Report 2015
* click the green download button
=► link expired text.
NOTE: if I enter a wrong password in the box, the box gets a red border so password checking is working.
Download link actually should work fine, btw, if you trying to download same package multiple times in same session, it will be counted as one, but if that is not the issue, please give me temporary wp-admin login info to check. If you want to show the message in another page, it will require some customization in code.
I am using “Card” as link template and “Default Template” as Page Template. These are the OOB versions, no changes made.
In the source I see the templates are using download_link .
Thanks for the reply, but the information you reference does not affect the page I am asking about. I am wanting to know which page affects the accordion links, not the actual download link page – I have that figured out.
Regardless which Link Template is select in a shortcode the display never changes.
I have created a new page called downloads. Using the Extended Tiny MCE Button I have inserted the following shortcode: [wpdm_packages link_template="link-template-calltoaction4" order_by="post_title" order="asc" paging="asc" items_per_page="10" title="" desc="" cols=1 colsphone=1 colspad=1]
But instead of showing the package links like in the preview (see attached preview_cta4.png) I get the default display (see frontend_cta4.png). This counts for any link template I reference in the shortcode. The rendered html code shows always “<!– WPDM Link Template: Panel –>”
2. Issue
Although the extended shortcode plugin is installed and active they do not show up.
I have inserted the shortcode [wpdm_tree] in the page mentioned above. However it does not display the file list. In the rendered html code I see “<div id=”tree5648639db1401″ class=””><ul class=”jqueryFileTree” style=””></div>”. Only if I setup a category those packages belonging to that category show up. Packages without category are not displayed.
I could swear this issues are new. I have setup a fresh WP installation to make sure this in neither a theme nor a plugin conflict. I have downloaded the latest zip files for WPDM and WPDM Addons. WP 4.3.1, WPDM 4.4.0, WPDM ESC 2.4.3 and WPDM TMB 2.4.1. Tested with Themes Twenty 13/14 and 15 as well as Theme Enfold. The results are always the same.
1. Create a link template without these information (Download, link, file size, and download count) and use that when inserting accordion shortcode. Here you will find docs on link template, http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/templates/link-template/
I have a couple simple questions that I am sure are easy to correct, but I simply cannot find the solution on my own (please see screenshot for visual reference):
1. How do I remove the information (Download, link, file size, and download count)?
2. How can I make the accordion appear expanded upon page load?
I have looked at the (.php) template files, but cannot locate the code, nor have I located an option to enable/disable this functionality in the dashboard.
I see download button also showing properly at front-end now, addtionally, I installed image button add-on ( http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-image-button/ ) to show nice images with download link. You can change button image from wpdm settings page.
However, if I activate a plugin called Plugin Organizer (https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-organizer/), the “results” section of the WPDM Directory (below the categories list) is replaced by a copy of my homepage. Almost like the search results section is an iframe and my homepage the destination. See attached screenshot.
if I disable the plugin organizer, the directory page goes back to normal.
— It looks like attached files are already delete or missing , I’m not seeing them in /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files/, But I’ve tested here http://treativa.it/bozze/chairsandmore/area-download/test-doc/ with another file from your server and got it working fine
I have just installed the pro-version. I have locked downloads by email. When I click on download I get the pop-up to enter name/email after which the message that a download link has been sent to my email is displayed. When I checked the subscriber list nothing has been logged and in most cases no email is received. I have tested with different emails and its only yahoo and one webmail that the emails were actually received.
Anyone with similar experience? How did you resolve it?
However, you still can use [download_link_popup] instead of [download_link] in your link template to show the info in a modal popup instead of pop-over, Doc: http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/templates/
It was working great, then I noticed that my site’s content was getting messed up: i.e. One section of pages (the parent and all children pages) were only showing the parent’s content suddenly. Clearing permalinks did not work until I disabled WP Download Manager plugin, so it must be creating a conflict. Help, I need this 🙁 I added the plugin today so I know it is the issue.
I’m sorry but i don’t understand at all how it works. What i’m trying to do is ask for register to download. And administrator has to confirm authorization from dashboard to let the link display
I am looking to upgrade to version 4.4 for my website http://www.retodayshow.com and cannot find the file to download. Could you please post a link to the download file. Thanks
I was wondering if there was a way to push the subscribers for my downloads via e mail lock) to zoho crm. I see you have one for mailchimp. Is there a way to split the first and last name and push that over to mailchimp as well? Thanks!
Also, I am hivng problems e mailing to download link. The e mail gets sent but no link appears. Thanks!
