    Probably the user clicked download link 7 times. I tested, I’m getting simple email per download click.

    I found out, that you include the following code on every generated page -> had to attach as textfile.

    Why? It is W3C – Error and a link to http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/ that i don’t want to have on all my sites.
    How to remove this HTML-Error?

    look at the sourcecode of everypage on http://www.nowload.de/

    You can’t add download link with that table, but you can use custom link template like this:

    [wpdm_my_downloads login=1 template="link-template-id"]

    To set default value you will need this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-default-values/

    You can use different short-code ( [wpdm_packages] ) for that with custom link template, but if you want it with all downloads short-code, it will require to edit code in that short-code template.

    You can show categories like this http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/categories/ using this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-directory-add-on/

    Hi again. Please, i’m trying to understand why if i click on any of the categories listed in the widget, it doesn’t shown the list of files inside, but opens a ‘archive’. Do i need to create any ‘archive’ page or something?

    http://nicep.nottingham.ac.uk/data-repository/

    Also, in this page, if you click on the first or second download buttons, they try to open a popup, and it’s very weird… it is not possible to disable the complete download column so users can access the file only clinking its name? It will be more convenient for our purposes…

    Thanks in advance

    Here’s what doesn’t appear to be working:
    when i go to DOWNLOADS>SETTINGS>FRONTEND>TEMPLATE>and i pick call to action 3.

    Then when i use the shortcode button to insert, I get this:
    [wpdm_package id=5777 template="link-template-calltoaction3.php"]

    It’s not picking up the template number. Am I going to have to go in and change the short code by hand every single time I use it in a post?

    Hi again. It is possible to make an own template as the default, so when the authorized users upload there own files the page template and the link template will be set to the ones created additionally?

    One other question. It is possible in the list view where all the packages are shown to disable the ‘download’ column?

    Finally, how can you show only the top categories as ‘folders’ and when the user click on any of them, it will shown the subcategories also as folders and the files inside?

    Thanks in advance

    Yes, please clone that link template, remove [download_count] tab and save as new one, now use the new link template id with the short-code. Docs: http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/templates/

    1. That is an oEmbed feature implementation for wpdm, still beta feature, also not a major feature, you need to click on title link to open the page. However if you post package url like that, it will show everything properly, example:
      http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/download/multipurpose-responsive-wordpress-theme/

    a) I can’t use multiple ctrl clicks or contiguous shift clicks to select multiple files
    <– there is no multiple file selection option
    b) However l click on the file I seem to be jumping through to its information page (perhaps what you intended)
    <– direct download link only will work for public download, protected download need to be download  from details page as they download link comes with complex html.
    c) as we can’t see the WP download manager code snippets that created the demo, there is no instructional value for us

    Hi there,

    I am struggling to understand the purpose and usability of the front end.

    Quinte simple I would like to create a new package as administrator. set this file with permission to one particular ‘subscriber’ (I would use the access control add-on for DM) whom I (administrator) have given a WordPress user ‘subscriber’ account . Then, when this subscriber log in into the DM front end, they should see this file ONLY and be able to download it straight away and also get the emailed link. Additionally, I would not want the user to be redirected to another page before download. Being a known user, I would not need to add any locks (email, password etc) to the package. Is this at all posible?

    many thanks

    Hi there,

    I would like to do the following:

    1. Choose a user, and then see all files downloaded by that user for all time, regardless of date or month or time, and
    2. Choose a file and see which users downloaded that file for all time, regardless of date or month or time

    I see that if I go to my user list and click on the link next to each user called “download stats”, I am taken to the “Package vs date” tab, where I see just a list of files (without the grid on the right showing the download count). This is what I see:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/hsw7f76pqrssrzg/Screenshot%202016-05-14%2013.10.34.png?dl=0

    And then if I click on the “Package vs User” tab, I am given the option to choose a specific date for which I can see packages and users, but I have to search day by day until I find download activity.

    If I then go back to the “Package vs Date” tab, I see a full list of files and a grid showing downloads (which wasn’t visible when clicking directly from the user list). It looks like this:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/qpa3jkykan9ag57/Screenshot%202016-05-14%2013.25.50.png?dl=0

    Ultimately, none of these views is what I am looking for. I need to be able to choose a user, and see which files he or she has downloaded for all time (and Ideally the date each file was downloaded). I also need to be able to choose any file/package and see all the users who have downloaded that package, including the date it was downloaded.

    Can this be done, and if it is not standard behavior, can it be custom programmed?

    Thanks.

    Hey, it worked because you used a download thats set to (Allow Acces = All visitors)
    My Cusotmer created that download and forgot to set the Access Rules.

    Please try the same link now!
    Try it as visitor and administrator.
    (login = see private Message)

    All downloads and the Preview need to bet visible for administrator and Editors.
    Visitors shouldn´t see the previe and should not be able to download the file.

    Thanks for helping me out!

    Working fine now. $_GET variable was resetting in your server when download link was like http://www.estrela.com.br/download/test/?wpdmdl=x, I’ve changed it to http://www.estrela.com.br/?wpdmdl=x, by replacing $permalink = get_permalink($ID);  with $permalink = home_url();, in file libs/class.Package.php in function getDownloadURL.

    Use this link to see stats for specific package

    https://www.evernote.com/l/AV3PqbNCTDpHQKYGzE0fpNS3BGvadD2HCZsB/image.png

    From ” Package vs Date” tab you can see daily package download count for selected month.

    No other stats is available for now.  But we are building a Google Analytic add-on to track stats with google analytics, but no specific release date yet.

    – If you was to use single form to sent both files, you need to add both files in same package.  Users will receive single download link and both files will be downloaded in a single zip.

    – For css issue, please give me your url to check.

    – For now, there is only single template is available, but we will release new template editor add-on soon.

    I purchased a PRO license and also the Form Lock plug-in. I’ve got things sort of working but honestly the end result is falling short of what I wanted to do. I’ll post other issues separately.

    I have enabled Form Lock, and setup a form with Contact Form 7. That seems to work for the most part. I’ve gone to Subscribers and edited the E-Mail Lock Template. I had to do this in a external editor since the web editor doesn’t show HTML.

    I have in the code this:

    <b><a href="[download_url]">[title]</a></b>

    In the e-mail I receive with the download link, the title simply says [title], and the variable is not replaced with the Package Title at all.

    Why?

    Yes, even though it downloads instantly, it also send email with download link. However, we shall add option to enable/disable it with the next update of the plugin.

    Hi,
    I select Enable Email Lock, Ask for Visitor’s Name and then Download Instantly (not Mail Download Link), but for some reason my users are still getting the download link via email, so they get both the instant download and the email link.

    Can this be fixed? I’d like them to just be able to download instantly.

    Thanks!

    AWSOME – that worked perfect! Thank you.

    for anyone else that needs this here is the filter I used:

    /*
    add filter to adjust link text for single files
    */

    add_filter('single_file_download_link_label','my_single_file_download_link_label',10,2);
    function my_single_file_download_link_label($link_label,$package){
        $link_label = "OPEN";
        return $link_label;
    }
