Hi,

I purchased the all theme package and all add-on package, installed the next theme and quite a few plugins, but still had a few problems while setting up the next theme.

(1) I can visit dashboard and personal profile, but when I clicked “add new”, error “page can’t be found” popped up.

(2) I want to change defult layout to “review” or “education”, but couldn’t find where to change it. I went throught the theme opitions and customise theme, but still couldn’t find the setting for designing homepage (like what is on the defult layout, educaiton layout). Is it a plugin for helping me to write page like that?

I read the Theme Docs. from installtion section of theme docs, I should get files (thenext.zip, minimax.zip, revslider.zip, pricing-table.zip, portfolio-manager.zip, wereviews.zip after unzip the next theme file. However, I only get “thenext”. The theme details of the next wasn’t right, it was the detials for Crypton theme .Required plugin sections asks me to install price table (couldn’t find it), slider revoloution (couldn’t find it), mini max (not sure whether I need purchase it since I can’t find it in my all add-on download package). Most of the functions listed on the demo site can’t be found in the dashboard.

(3) actually the same problem happened when I used Crypton theme. 404 error popped up when I tried to add new package. Appmarket theme was okay with adding new package, but error message popped up on the profile page.

Is it because the theme zip file I download not right? I got it from the link of all-theme pacakge.

I’d like to know whether it is possible to set a global setting for downloading, which only give certain users (such as admin, author) to download the file these users upload (as I wanna subcribers only get access to read the post, but not download the attachment).

I went throught the setting section and set the “file brower access”, but visitors still can download everything without logging in. To control the access, right now, what I do is to set the role for access to attachment in the package section everytime when I write a post.

Is there a better way to do it?

Also, after I tried the demo site of front-end (http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/), I added the code [wpdm_frontend]in the setting page. Log-in and register panel shows, but after logged in, link of add-new, profile are all invalid.

I’d like to built a site like what the frend-end demo show.
1. Users can see the latest upload and popular uploads on a page.
2. be able to see the details info of each upload and can add new on the frond-end.
3. get the profile to see purchase and download history.
4. payment

Would you please give me some suggestion on what add-on I need purhcase? all in one pack or a few specefic ones?

We have a WPDM directory of approximately 600 files — recently our customers have complained that some downloads gave them the permission-denied.txt file, even though they’re logged in and have permission to download that package. I’ve found that these packages are easily fixed by simply reattaching a package’s file[s] on its Edit page, but is there a way to find these broken packages without having to click on 600 links to see which ones ask to save permission-denied.txt? – 1. I currently have an existing directory structure containing ZIP files
– 2. which I’d like to insert into existing pages in a table-view
– 3. with a direct download link

I have figured out that for 1. I can attach a folder to a Package, but inserting that Package (only Link Template is available or I am not understanding the template concept) only offers a link to an extra (and unwanted) downloads page.

If need be I can walk away from the existing directory structure and create custom Packages / Categories / whatever is required. Most important is have an existing list or table of files be injected in existing pages with a direct download link (ie. straight to the file.)

I’m usually persistant enough in figuring stuff out but this plugin and its mechanisms has me absolutely dumbfounded.

Seems we have a problem with the download function on the new (locs.co.uk) web site, can you help please?

When you try and download the document name comes up as ‘link expired’ and that’s all you get when you download. Can you have a look please? The email you get confirming the download also just shows ’link expired’.

Is there any way we can find out the email address for someone who tried to download a white paper earlier today, I’m assuming they only got the expired message and not the real document so want to send them the document manually.

Hello! I am using a membership plugin to protect content on my site. The one part I’m having difficulty with is the popup format of generated by WPDM. I’m 99% certain this used to work, because I recall being pretty excited about it. But either I’m imagining that, or something has gone wrong.

Using the popup is important to us for navigational purposes (to keep the user on the page that lists the downloads — they click the link, see the popup, grab the download, close the window — now they are back to the same list of downloads).

But the download button should be hidden from sight for some users. This is done (by the membership plugin) with a shortcode.

I created a page template that uses shortcodes to determine what the users will see, and as I mentioned earlier, I’m sure it was working at one time. But now I’m seeing the shortcode being output as plain text, and not functioning as they should.

Any idea why, or how to fix this? (Screenshot attached, and access to my site will be in the next private message.)

My little problem today is, that the “order by download_count” sorting in a wpdm-archive does not work.

Please choose any category in the drop down… The order_by=”download_count“ sorting does not work.

Just for info, I have the drop down selection fields hidden via css. But the error is also without my change…
