This problem really is a pain, I’ve a few hundred posts with an image in the description. The image is hyperlinked to itself, 
etc…
How can I remove these lines from all my downloads? I’ve a feeling it needs regex on the database, but no clue with regex.
Maybe if you could tell me where in the database to look for the content?

This is Sample Data after I import, on the home page there are some errors as follows:
1. Counter download does not show downloads? “in these sections: NEW DOWNLOADS, POPULAR DOWNLOADS”?
2. The title of the package and More have two different links when clicked (specifically when clicking on More then the link is the default WP post after install, not the package link)? “in these sections: NEW DOWNLOADS, POPULAR DOWNLOADS”?
Is this theme faulty? And I tried the free Centric theme, the result was the same as the Crypton theme. Now, what must I do? I was bored when I ordered 3 items but not good results …

In a recent update, a client’s document library seemed to break.
Instead of pulling up the file linked with the package, [download_url] pulls up a generic, empty file called “download-manager-file.”
We can solve this problem by making any minor modification to the package and saving it. Then the package works as expected.

You can use Default Values add-on to bulk update any package settings as well as setting default values for new packages. Please check the link for more info about the add-on.

Follow up to 1. Something’s not quite right with the whole plugin. Just tried downloading the file a was previously testing for emailing the link (now with no lock). I’m still getting an error for this download. I am logged in as admin.
1 ) You can email download link only for packages without locks.
2 ) By active-theme I meant the theme you are using now. So, for it should be /homa/download-manager/ Send FTP info if you need help with in this. I will create the template file for you.
I am also having a problem of not having icons in both Firefox and Chrome Desktop and Mobile browsers.
HOWEVER, using Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge, the icons show up WAY too big.
This just started after the last update.

– You can set custom download button text from Package Settings Meta Box Link Label option.
– To open the file in new tab use a custom template. Clone the current template you are using now and replace [download_link] template tag with <a target="_blank" href="[download_url]">[link_label]</a>.

WPDM Image button is not returning the required btn classes instead it shows “__wpdm_download_btn__” in class. This results in the download link being plain text link instead of a button.

I’m really happy with this plugin, however am facing a small issue with my site that is set up using WooCommerce Memberships. If a membership is assigned to see the download page, the link works fine. However for any membership levels not assigned to view the download page, the page just times out without redirecting to the generic ‘content restricted’ page. Just wondering if there’s a way around this?

I am currently setting up a download section on a website and would like to use the Archive Page with Sidebar (from the directory addon). This layout has a button ‘View Details’ which loads the file details. I would like to change this button to a Download button which downloads the file directly, is this possible?

You modified the link and page template files inside the plugin dir in your old version to create a custom look. But when you updated plugin you mods were not available anymore. That’s why the view changed after plugin update.
The correct way of adding a custom look is using a custom link and page template. I have created a link and a page template with the same code you used to modify the default templates in the old version. Both are named Default Template Mod. I have updated the link template in widgets to match the previous style. But you have to update each of your packages after setting the new page template ( Default Template Mod ) from package settings. Now that we are using custom link and page template your views won’t be lost again after plugin update.

Thank you for this information. “post_content” is showing nothing on my page unfortunately. And I do have something written in the main textbox in the backend.
I’m using the following:

Any idea why this would show up blank? I just updated the plugin, but it didn’t solve the issue.

I solved the invalid redirect url error by authorizin the URL shown on the share link after I click on the inshare button.
Now I have a bigger problem.
When people click on shared link from Linkedin, the download link on the package page does not work. It does not show “share us on linkedin popup”.
How can I solve this problem?

Hi,
Please follow this steps:
1. Go to Downloads>Templates>Create Link Templates
2. Give a title of the template
3. Write [download_url] in the code section
4. Click save template.
5. Use the newly created template as Link Template of the file.
