I have the same problem. My files is originally 600 MB and lots of our clients are angry that it is corrupted. The problem is that when they download it via WP Download Manager plugin, if browser starts the download, it will stop at exactly 500 MB. But if they start the download with IDM, it downloads the file intact. I tested it many times and it seems that WPDM only allows each connection to download up to 500 MB and since IDM breaks the download in 8 connection, it’s fine.
I played with every parameter in WPDM settings and nothing solved this problem.
And I’m sure that there is no problem with WordPress or server because I can download the file with browser from direct link.I would be so thankful if you could give us a working solution.

there is no conflict with plugins.
Its WPDMPRO that do not count downloads at all. I guess I have to find a solution by myself, as all the others problems with your soft.We are using DIVI, that also have not conflict with WPDMPRO.

We have been encountering slow rendering speed issues on our site while displaying downloads in tabular format with JS table option. Total number of documents are around 900.

Hello, is it possible, to have a user-role, like administrator, being able to see and download directly all packages in the frontend by default. As I understand you have to assign a userrole first.
Or at least can WPDM add a role to packages created in the frontend automatically.
We want to use WPDM as an document-exchange platform. So admins need instant and direct access to the uploads of the paticipants.
I also tried to add a direct-link to the package-list-items, but failed.

If I understand previous postings here the “Export” feature in WPDM Pro is basically worthless.
So I go to https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/bulk-import/ download the sample file and create a CSV to import 1200 downloads from another site. First of all thanks for your help.
On the page https://pucoo.nl/wellsystem2/poster-a4/?lang=de there are 5 downloads.
All of the 5 downloads are sending me to an 404 not found page. With the google chrome inspection tool i see 404 errors popping up.

Yes, All download will redirect a specific page, which will contain the lazy download shortcode. Yes, it will support your existing downloads and will work in the free version too

Topic: New Package Position
Hi, I have an elderly client who has been using the Downloads Manager for years. He has his downloads organized by cateogry and is using a shortcode to show those categories on a WordPress page. For example: http://word-share.com/circle-bible/
The shortcode for he is using to display a category i: [wpdm_tree category=”part-1-cbsm” order_by=”title” order=”desc”]The problem is that every time he adds a new package to that category it shows at the top of the list instead at the bottom of the list on the page. He then has to go in and edit every file in that category in order to get it to display correctly. Is there a way to make all newly added packages display according to creation date with the newest addition showing at the bottom. Or can we get it to display by date and time? I tried adding those Parameters but it didn’t work.

Hi Marco,
The error can show for some reasons. WP download manager is a large plugin, with many modules and language files. This can cause issues with some servers when using the automatic update.
It can be happen if there is an issue with the zip file you’re uploading/downloaded. It can also be happened with your hosting as WordPress doesn’t have enough memory on the web server to unzip and upload the contents of the zip file.Please try manually reinstalling WPDM? To do so, download the WPDM plugin here:
https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/download-manager.latest-stable.zip
You can do this manually by logging in to your site via FTP or Cpanel, and delete the existing WPDM plugin from plugins folder. You should then be able to reinstall the plugin manually by following the instructions here:
It is recommended that you make a complete backup of your website before trying this.

Hello dear download manager team,
Today we unfortunately had to realize that all downloads (400+) no longer work. The download itself still exists, but no file is attached.
The different documents still exist on the server, only the connection to the download package was removed.
Of course, we can’t go through 400+ downloads now and attach the file again with every download. Is there a way to make this easier to do?

Thanks for the advice. I have done the following:
1) While logged-in to wpdownloadmanager.com, I went to my “Hello….DownloadArea” Order Details Clicked on ‘License’ (key) icon to find the License Key.
2) While logged in to my WordPress admin dashboard, I went to Downloads Settings License. I could then see the License Key that was already stored there. It was already the correct License Key.
3) I clicked SAVE SETTINGS
4) On my WordPress admin dashboard, I went back to Plugins Installed Plugins DownLoad Manager and tried again to update. This time it updated successfully.So I have two questions. First, the License Key stored in my WordPress was already correct, so why didn’t the Plugin update the first twenty times I tried to update it??!!
Second, if it is necessary to jump through this hoop of checking and updating the License Key on the WordPress site every time before the Plugin will update itself, why doesn’t DownLoad Manager create some clear, friendly instructions about how to do this and make them accessible to customers who need them?

If this can be done as an option somewhere: please tell me and I would be happy to do it!
My primary goal is to ensure that protected downloads are never exposed to non-authorized people, even accidentally, and the “Prev” and “Next” buttons seem to be a “gap” in the protection. On top of that, they are not really required for anything at least in my case.
