    Hi Download Manager,

The CSV importer does not function correctly for small files. Nothing get loading into all packages. Ghost file are added into media library. See video: https://wordpress-763289-2585228.cloudwaysapps.com/wp-content/uploads/Downloads-%E2%80%B9-Giti-US-Resource-Portal-%E2%80%94-WordPress.webm

Since updating the plugin yesterday (07/28/2022) when I upload a new PDF file to download won’t download and instead, I am met with “No file is attached with this package!”. However, all of the older uploaded PDF files still work fine. It’s just new PDF files since the update doesn’t work. The direct download link will not work either.

I was looking at your addons and I have a question.

First, my client’s Order ID# WPDM62CA1AA2547FD, I just don’t have access to his account to open tickets there.

If I purchase special package under my account for single installation right now, would that addon be included? As I said before I need to replicated Envato’s websites BUT for videos only… Client wants to have option for limited number of downloads under a membership and regular single download. Would I be able to have the addon to limit number of downloads per month? Also, do you have more extensive instructions. the docs I found are very basic, they are meant for someone that already know your plugin and I don’t know it that well, I only know the basic download manager.

Also, if I get single installation special package today, can I upgrade later at anytime?

    Thanks

For the attention of Tanvir – Please.
RE: Ordering of the Packages – I’ve managed to sort something for you to consider, please see the following link:

    https://nfpsoccer.co.uk/downloads/2d-under-16s/

You’ll see the ‘filter’ options > select ’Title’ and ‘Ascending’ > Apply Filter.
To achieve this I’ve had to rename all the files with a number and letter prefix – Is there a better way to do it perhaps?

With this option I need to add an intro:
“To view by ‘session sequence’; please select ’Title’ and ‘Ascending’ then Apply Filter.”
    – to the top of the page to explain the process – how do I add text to the page template please.

NB.If this could just be ‘coded’ to display the ‘packages in order (without having to filter that would be even better)?!

    Many thanks

I created a test package from frontend to demouser and found it is working properly.

What I think that you was not able to create because you didn’t allow administrator to create a new package from front end.
You can set that from Downloads > Settings > Front End access > Ruoli utente consentiti per creare il pacchetto dal front-end Admin was not added there. I added that.

However, I would suggest you to check all settings carefully and try to understand how it works.

    Thanks

    Hey Nayeem, thanks for answering.

I am using WPDM Pro, and i already use the Lock-Options for some downloads…

What i’m trying to do is to copy the download-link and put it behind a image on my website. If someone clicks on the image, he / she should see the lead-form with terms & mail-lock. After filling out the form, he / she should get the download-link via mail oder should referred directly to the file (based on the setting for mail-lock).

If i only put the download-link behind the image, after clicking the image the following message occures: “You are not allowed to download”
If i use the Master Download Link, theres no lock, it directly leads to the file.

Is there a solution for this problem?

    THX

    Hello Everyone,

Hope you are well. And sorry for the inconvenience. For updating the WPDM main plugin, Please simply click the Save Settings again for the license key option from Downloads > Settings > License, and then please update the plugin from the wp-admin > plugins panel. For saving settings again for the license key option from Downloads > Settings > License, that will regenerate the access token. Thus the plugin will be updated, hope that, it will solve your issue.

And for add-on updates, you can follow these steps,

1 ) Download the latest version from here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
2 ) Install the latest version and activate.

I hope it will work fine then. please let me know if you face such an issue

    Thank you and regards

Is there a way to pull up all resources tagged by a specific access level? You can do this by categories and tags, but I’m not seeing a way to pull up all packages that are set to be viewed by “All Visitors” etc. We have packages that need access levels changed, but I see no easy way to find a list of all of the packages tagged with that access to know which ones we need to change.

Please set the value of order_by “publish_date” or “update_date”
And in the ‘cols’ you have to use the exact same value.

    Exmple :
    [wpdm_all_packages thumb=1 items_per_page="20" jstable=1 order_by="publish_date" order="DESC" cols="title,file_count,download_count|categories|publish_date|download_link" colheads="Title|Categories|Date|Download::155px"]

    for more details please visit

I am using following shortcode to display all downloads in table form and order them by Date wise so latest documents shown at top and older below it.
    [wpdm_all_packages jstable=1 order_by="date" order="ASC" cols="title,excerpt,file_count,download_count|package_size|update_date|download_link" colheads="Title|File Size| Date|Download::155px"]
But on the front end my Table view is auto order by Title column only. I have not set to order by Title field but still it is doing so. How to change that behaviour and arrange it date wise.

    Hello,
    Hope you are well.
    1. Please follow this there is the video that shows the way to add logo.
    2. Category access works like the below example:

Package Access = Package Access + All Category Access = All Visitors + Subscribers = All Visitors

and Package Access = Package Access empty + Category Access(Subscribers) = Subscribers

    or Package Access = Package Access(subscriber) + Category Access(Subscribers) = Subscribers

    3. You can check our shortcodes to make an archive page with downloads.
Also you can check our anoher addon for more shortcodes:

    WPDM Directory Add-on

    Thanks

    Hello,

I am trying to add a tabular list of all the packages along with a search of categories and tags in the left sidebar. I am using Elementor and you can see a demo of our page here: https://clearweld.com/dev/test-downloads/

I can use the shortcode wpdm_all_packages for the table but I am unable to use the wpdm_archive_filter to generate the search for category/tags. Is it possible to have the list as I currently have it but also have a sidebar with the category and tag filter as seen here: https://try.wpdownloadmanager.com/advanced-search-left/?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    HI

Thanks for your response. I have updated WPDM to 6.2.1 and then took a look at the console and found that a number of js an css files were missing – 404 not found. I have copied these from a backup / development system that we use and the button is now working – I can add my category shortcode. However, it now doesn’t use my template but produces a complete jumble of download panels of various designs. The development site was not (could not be) updated to the new version so this may in itself have created more errors,

I have also discovered there are other unrelated files reported missing when I load any page so I think I need to sort those out first. However, is it possible for me to completely remove WPDM (having backed up my templates) and re-install it without loosing the files that are in the downloads folder? We have moved/changed our site domain a number of times in the past and our hosting guru transfers the site accordingly but it is evident that some files have not being transferred correctly.

I will continue investigating these issues for the time being but may get back to you with admin access later this week.

    Again thanks for your response.

    Neil

    Hello Nelson,
    Thanks for your reply.
Instead of auto-generating a category page, please use the below shortcode in a page. Using the orderby=”title” parameter, you can sort the order.
    https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_category-query-all-downloads-from-one-or-more-categories/

If the issue still persists, please provide temporary admin access of your website in a private reply to inspect and solve it quickly.
    Thanks

Use link template – ideally we want to be able to add the short code (as suggested by Tanvir’s example) and make design changes?!
Is there another way of ‘filtering the order’ perhaps?
For example the package titles are ‘sequential’ up to a point but adding these downloads by CSV puts them in reverse order?!

    Question 1:
After studying the template tags page on your website, I still don’t know where to add the tags? Can you give me an example?

    Question 2:
I have several kinds of downloads: JPG-files, PNG-files, PDF-files, MP4-files. How can I create a page where all these downloads are listed with a preview thumbnail for each, some file details and a download button? I have searched for it on your website, but I cannot find it.

    Question 3:
When creating a page with Gutenberg Blocks, I can add Package or Packages. After that I have to choose which package in a dropdown on the right side. Also, the system tells me to choose a package. But the dropdown does not work. I cannot choose a package, there are no options to choose though I have several packages stored already. The Link Template dropdown just beneath is working fine. What do I do wrong?
