Yesterday, someone reported that after downloading all the July 2013 Bulletins that Adobe Reader XI reported the problem as shown in the attached file. I tried this and I got the same message. Yet, if I open to read the master file (pre upload) they open with no trouble what so ever. How can this be rectified please and thank you?In reply to: Download file size 0kb
same problem here, didnt change anything only upgrade to wp 3.6 and all the people visiting the site complain about 0kb downloads. Then I tried to download myself, same result 0kb …
Can be fixed soon? pleaaaaaase otherwise I have to move to a different download plugin because cant let the people wait that long for the downloads ….

actually [download_link] generate full html for link ( link label + download url )
but there you can use [page_url] or [download_url], but [download_url] will work for public downloads only.In reply to: PDF Downloads will not open
may be any other plugin installed in your site printing some chars which adding with downloaded content and crushing the file format. Try disabling other plugins.
Hallo, i have a little problem of visualization in default theme in search box. It seems to be not working some functions, as: order by id, desc and so on… can you check plz?

That work for me.Hi. In the free version of this Plugin I was able to limit access to certain users and when I did so it would prompt the user to login before they could download. In the pro version nothing of the sort happens, it just shows the title of the file and allows ANY user to view the details of the file but there is no where for them to input the password to download or to log them in to enable them to download.
I want certain files to be downloaded only by “subscribers” because I want to monitor which user downloads the files.
Is there something specific I’m supposed to be doing with the Pro version? Should I be making a custom template?
I’m a bit disappointed with how different the pro version is compared to the free version and the lack of FAQ and instructions.

Hi: plugin was working like a charm…until today.
I have a few pages I’ve created with files to download (free). The previous pages I created last month, work fine. The page I created today, does not. The “Show Title” or the “Description” does now show on my webpage.
All shortcodes are the same, however, on this one webpage, the Title or Description are missing.

ThanksEverything was working fine until recently I have been having users on my website telling me they are getting 403 Errors. This is true, because I’ve tried it for myself and it gave me the forbidden page error. I can only download the files myself, if I am logged into my website as admin. The weird part is all my old downloads I’ve uploaded via Download Manager work fine. Its just the new ones I am having the problems with. I did notice that the syntax lines are “==” after each download link. Example if I have http://montagesnmore.com/?wpdmact=process&did=MTIuaG90bGluaw I can download it fine, but when I press the download button, http://montagesnmore.com/?wpdmact=process&did=MTIuaG90bGluaw== shows up and I cannot download it due to 403. If I take out the “==” I can download it normally as well as any users.
Please help me out!

Hey,
There is still an issue with the Speed Control plugin not working. At the moment I want to restrict it to 12KBPS for free members and unlimited speed for paid Gold Members. Everything is set correctly but the downloads on the free members account is still insanely fast. I delt with this with you last week and in reality is wasn’t fixed.
I need two separate speeds for these user groups, can you please help me. Clients have been buying accounts up and really this bug worked out.

I have a rather big problem for few days,
normal users/guests can see list of downloads normally, but once they click on details then it gives 404 error – i, as admin can see details of packages without any problem,
i figured out it’s related to “weird” page that was created before – /wdmpro/wdmpro/ – there was many redirections(about 400-500/day) to this particular site, so i made it private(because i was unable to delete it completely) – probably i made mistake,
i tried to change url and category base but result was the same all the time,
how can i fix this?
and why WDM created page /wdmpro/wdmpro/ – if so, then why there was redirections from google to that page if it’s not editable/etc. ?
my standard url base was “pobieralnia”(it’s in polish lanugage) and category url base was “kategorie”(it’s “categories” in polish lang. ) i changed those, but it’s still same problem.

I use the above plugin with [wpdm-archive] shortcode in a page. The problem is that not all categories are shown(6 instead of 7) and when I click on a category it says no downloads found despite the fact that there are downloads in the category.

So can i use the template of [wpdm-all-packages] (wpdm-all-downloads.php) for only one category?
I have the category A (with subgroup A1, A2, A3) / B / C / D (with the subcategory D1, D2, D3).
Can i use this template to show only the category D (with the subgroups) in page xx, and the similar template to show the category A (with the subgroups), B, C in page xy?

I’ve been trying hopelessly to get DM to acknowledge permissions I set for who can download and who can edit, nothing seems to work. I have several downloads I’ve setup to be downloadable only by subscriber user levels, but subscribers can’t download – the only thing that works is to set permissions to “Everyone” and then try to control access to the download page via some other user access plugin – which is not a real solution.
On the administrative issue end, I have the settings for multiple admins set to disabled and plugin edit access set to “Editors” and above. But when I log into an editor account, view the download, though I will see the “Edit Package” button, clicking it simply pulls up “You don’t have sufficient privelages”. This leaves me with only one option – to setup download managers as admins, which I really don’t want to do. I purchased the user roles add-on as a long shot effort to fix this, but no luck.
While I’ve tampered with a third party plugin to manipulate user roles (User Role Editor), I have it now disabled with no impact on the permissions problem.

Ah, I was talking about the multiple user issue but it seems to work in the newest update thanks allot this fixed my problem for me 🙂 Further tests underway though.
I am testing the new pro upgrade which is version 337. I have it on a test site before I put it up on my main site. I do have a new question for you Shaon, I’m trying to get sub-categories to display here http://gtbeta.info/testsite2/downloads/cate-a/ in place of the black box.
I have one test sub category that won’t show up there. What code do I edit to get that back. Note I’m using the templates from version 335
I do love this WP plugin!

1) install an activate form builder add-on
2) Create some forms from Admin Menu Forms ( http://prntscr.com/1dpbwy )
3) Go to Admin Menu Downloads Add New
4) Under package Settings Now you will need new lock option “Enable Form Lock” ( http://prntscr.com/1dpc31 )
5) So if you want the user to fill any form before download, check the option and select a form.
