I would like to add the template as seen under http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/all-downloads/ onto my site, but instead I get a strange “category index” alá WordPress.

Suggestions on how to proceed?

Oh, and I have the Premium version together with “WPDM – Archive Page” and “WPDM – Image Button” licensed & installed.

I basically want WPDM to point towards my “/public_html/wp-content/uploads” directory.

I have been using the download manager for a few months (free version first and then pro for the last couple of months). Everything has worked fine apart from downloads not working for apple IOS7. Then today I have found all my managed files will not download correctly – they come with error messages saying a font is missing or images not available. I have loaded the same files to the website without the download manager and they are working and I can also access any of the files directly from my mac. I tried to re-upload both preview and adobe pdf files – on download the preview files the message was no file available — saying I was trying to download a text only file (even though a pdf had been uploaded) and the adobe file got a message saying file damaged and couldn’t open (but opens fine from the website or pc without the manager). I need a quick fix as there are over 100 documents available to my clients and non are currently downloadable so not great for my reputation. Help please.

I have bought WordPress-Download-Manager-Special-Pack and have wpdm-custom-access-level installed.

I have created two Download categories. Cat1 and Cat2

I want to create a “group” for people to be able to access packages in either Category. I’m not sure of the best way to do this but what I have done is set up a “Download” WP page and added shortcode for two download categories. I then added the code “Please login to access downloads” to the Downloads page.

Then I created a Group called “Member1” and have assigned people to that Group. Then I set Packages in Cat1 to Allow Access: “Member1”

1. Is this concept correct? It seems a bit complicated?

2. When people click the “Please login to access downloads” on the Downloads page abd login, it then takes them to the WordPress Admin page, rather than a page to download the files. I don’t want them anywhere near the WP Admin page! 🙂

Any know why this occurs?

3. Finally, I have ticked “Show Only Login Button Instead of Login Required Message” but the login button doesn’t appear anywhere?

Hi, I am building a site for my client for them to download product Images (JPEGs). All works fine on my Mac but they keep having problems whereby only part of the image downloads and come up with error message that includes jpg.part Are they any issues you know of that would cause my client to have problems downloading? – it seems random too – some are OK some not.. I just ran into a crazy download limit, that I cannot figure out. I have the stock set at 0. I limited the downloads per user at 3. I had 19 downloads (various users) of the file. All of a sudden, I got a “download limit exceeded” error. I tried messing with the settings – changing the download limit to 10, etc. Nothing worked.

I finally had to create a new download package and I’m worried that it will get stuck again. It’s critically important that it doesn’t get stuck again like that. That page is going to get slammed!

Another thing:

All of a sudden, this page – http://ropaxman.com/wpdmpro/wpdmpro/ – is turning up in my best post list. What on earth is that and how do I get it to stop showing up like that? Where is this page located?

I’ve looked elsewhere in the forums but how do I strip the formatting off of Downloads Manager Pro and have it accept the formatting of my installed wordpress theme?

Now i’ve modified my download page ( http://www.cashmatic.it/download/ ), removed the wpdm-archive shortcode and used the wpdm-all-packages code

Now id’ like to style the resulting page, removing the downloads counter and, if its possibile, translate the menu elements
