Since upgrading to the latest version, using the ‘Search packages’ button on the downloads page brings back Pages in the results, not packages. This is happening on a couple of installations we have running on different sites. Is there a fix for this?
I’m still have a problem with the missing files question after update here too, if you could please also help with that.
Thanks,
Graham
As I’m getting no answer from you via email, maybe the support forum might get an answer…? Thank you

1. Your instruction is completely unclear. I paid for this. Please complete the work.
2. Yes, please.
3. When importing packages via CSV, how do we map the ISO letters so that the package shows the correct flags for the files on front end?
4. Please answer my question about custom taxonomies cost?

Dear Shaon,
We recently paid for some customisation services, but we have a couple of bugs and questions unanswered.
I asked Shahnur via Skype but did not receive any response since 21 January. I asked the same again 26th January but have been ignored.
1. How do we apply this style of page layout to our categories, which is what we have paid for/requested?
At the moment it’s only applied to the dummy page that your developers created here
http://cpmr.org/documents/all-downloads
We want to apply this here, for example
http://cpmr.org/wpdm-category/maritime/
2. ISO Country flags only display if the country code is entered in Lowercase. if the code is entered uppercase the flag does not show. This needs fixing.
3. We have also purchased your advanced CSV importer. Is it possible to map the Language options of the package for our set-up? If so, How?
I also asked the recent presales question regarding custom Taxonomies, thank you for your reply (included below for reference). What cost is involved please? Of course we must complete the service we have already paid for before we send you more money.
Thanks and best wishes,
Grge

Possible, but, The will require some customization in code.

Hi,
Is it possible to “categorise” documents by more than 1 taxonomy?
Within each category, we will have about 5 different document “types” – working papers, agendas, surveys. So we need to refine by multiple attributes.
A bit like in eCommerce, where we can select all “hats” that are “blue”
Similar to this working example:
http://www.eurocities.eu/eurocities/publications
Is this possible with WPDM, if so do you have an example?
Thank you

Hi there,
When I migrated my website automatically, the packages files names are gone.
But the downloads works!
How can I fix this?

Thanks

There are a few issues that we are experiencing, maybe they are all related.
First, the file upload button will not allow me to upload any files. It appends something to the end of the URL, but never loads the uploader.
Second, when I want to select members it won’t load any of the users that are already on my site…I can type, but it doesn’t load like in your video.
Third, when I use [wpdm_my_downloads] after purchase of the add-on, it shows all files when I am not logged in, even those some were set to different roles.
I am on the most current version of WordPress.
Hello,
The search results page is showing ‘No download found!’ whenever I search the term ‘icon’. If I submit a blank search, it shows all downloads.
Please help.
Thanks.
Hello! I’m in need of some advice about displaying videos in a modal.
I am using WPDM Pro. I have some attachments that have a corresponding video. The video does not need to be downloaded by the end user, but I would like for the user to be able to easily view it when they download the file.
I don’t have any trouble doing this when the Link Template takes the user to a Page Template to view and download. The embedded video in the “description” field works just fine.
However, my preferred method (in use for all other downloads) is to use the [popup_link] shortcode in my Link Template. So the information about the download pops up in a modal window which contains some details about the file, and a download link. This way, the user never leaves the page or gets confused about navigation.
My challenge is that the embedded video does not work in the modal window.
The modal seems to be “basic HTML” only, so I get links and minor formatting. But so far, all my attempts to embed video just display the link to the video as plain text. If I upload the video to the media library, I get basically a screenshot from the video in the modal…there is no way to play the video.
I would like the video to actually be embedded and play in the modal, so the user can watch it and also download the attached file at the same time, without leaving the page.
Do you know of a way to make that work?
I have installed OK, but when i insert the shortcode to a page, although it generates a list of the package files with individual download buttons when I click them, I get a pop up as follows:
“You have chosen to open
[blank line]
which is: Plain Text Document (0 bytes)”
Also I cannot find where to change the individual file list download buttons.
I have the image button plugin and that works for the package button on the link and on the page, but does not allow me to change the individual files download button.
Hi
After the update today, which did solve the bulk import to some degree, it stopped importing after the 9th zip file. All of which are just zipped images in folders so nothing over 2MB.
Secondly, the error keeps appearing and stopping me doing anything now.
Call to undefined function remove_meta_box() in /xxxxx/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/wp-content/themes/akita/framework/admin/functions/general.php on line 128
Now I know you will say its the theme, but its only started after update of downloads manager 4.5.4. I have listed the error with the theme creator also, but any ideas on both.
This is now running on a live site, so I would expect this has been tested to the hilt when released. As I find the odd spelling mistake or errors appear. I like may others have paid in excess of $200 for the plugin and expect it to run, not create problems.
thanks
i set the downloadspeed from all roles to 20 kb/s but the downloads still run full speed
solved
as i have read in the changelog after installing new version there was written that the downloads can be locked with a reCAPTCHA to prevent bots to download.
I can’t find such a setting?
