We are getting an error on all our downloads. When we click on the Download button we get ‘Headers already sent in /home/site/wwwroot/index.php on line 4’ The downloads were working fine earlier this month. We updated the plugin to the latest Version 5.2.4.

I did some research and I think that I finale have an idea of how to set up the system using your plugins. I have 2 questions for you:
1) Can I have packages sell both as single products and via subscriptions? So for if the user has a subscription with 3 monthly downloads and spends those 3 monthly downloads can that user buy a new package separately? And can subscribers with the monthly free downloads download packages with the prices at all?2) On the WP Pro Membership page (https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wp-pro-membership/) there is a list of supported payment gateways:
PayPal – Integrated
Authorize.net – Integrated
2Checkout – Add-on
Stripe – Add-on
Alipay – Add-on
Paystack – Add-onThere is no Coinbase payment gateway in a list, although you send me a link to it. So does this addon supports Coinbase or not?

I have installed the free version and linked my downloads to a google drive. I would welcome help to achieve the following.
I want to display my downloads in a grid whilst displaying the respective image for the pdf file with an image hover mouse over effect.
I would also like to have categories and tags for the downloads with the ability to select display of downloads by category and tag filter.
Happy to purchase software to achieve this and all advice welcome.

Topic: PDF stamper not installing
Hi,
I have just renewed my licenses for both Download Manager Pro v5.2 and WordPress PDF Stamper Plugin, but cannot get the stamper to install. It is still marked as ‘Buy now’ in the Add ons section, and when I go to ‘Updates’ it shows Install as an option for one and expired for the other (see screenshot 1).
When I click ‘Install’ it turns green and says ‘Success’, and when I click ‘Save settings’ it constantly spins. When I go back to Updates, it’s back to ‘Install’.
Can I get some advice ASAP – I’m getting users who have paid for downloads that I can’t release until they can be stamped.
Does it have something to do with being on a multisite setup? I’ve tried it Network Activated and not Network Activated – same result.

i have a feature request, please consider reviewing it.
Add the possibility to set a “general” and “specific” limit.
exemple: general limit will be 1 year for all roles and specefic limit for daily downloads.
let say i have 2 roles: “Silver” and “Gold”
Silver role is allowed for 5 downloads per day and total 100 per year.
Gold is allowed for 8 downloads per day and total 150 downloads per year.
daily limit will auto reset, yearly limit will not so if user reach yearly limit he will have to renew subscription.

we have purchased the Download Limit Add-on, but it doesn’t seem to be working as we expected. We have a website on which we want to sell videos. Users should be able to buy videos either as:
1) Single product or
2) Via plans. There will be 3 different plans and each plan will have a number of allowed downloads monthly. For example, the Bronze plan will include 3 downloads per month, the Silver plan will include 5 downloads per month, and the Gold plan will include 10 downloads per month.Can we achieve this with the Download Limit Add-on? And do we need WordPress Download Manager Pro? Or would it be better to use WordPress Pro Membership for this purpose instead? Can you please recommend the best plugin or addon for what we need? And what are payment gateways that are supported by the WordPress Pro Membership? In particular, we are interested in the Coinbase Payment Gateway.

ok it’s installed correctly now – the license was still registered to the old site but that is fixed. However I still don’t see any emails being sent when a user downloads a package..

Hi There,
I have managed to get to the bottom of this issue with our hosting support. The issue is cache related as when cache is turned off on the site all of the downloads seem to be working. The cache is still turned off currently (for the whole site) but are you able to let me know what files need to be excluded so we are able to reenable it for the rest of the site.

Downloads all seem to fail at approx 500mb (see screenshot):
This is being reported by several users and I am able to replicate in both Chrome and Safari browsers.
Do you have recommended PHP INI settings I can check?

I mentioned in my previous reply that we’ve tested all of those methods for increasing the memory limit on the server, none of which resolves the issue.
Just to be sure, I just tested all three solutions again by adding a memory limit of 2048M to each. The memory allocation error persists when setting both Resumable Downloads and Output Buffering to false. These memory limit directives are still in place if you’d like to test yourself.
Please let me know if there’s another possible solution.

Hello. I use V 5.2.2 of the plugin. It seems that not all downloads all counted for all users. I am 100% sure that SOME users downloaded a package but in the Download history this download is not shown. All users have excactly the same rights.Strange is that the downloads of some users are counted and of others users not… Can I somewhere in a sql table see if it had been saven there but that it is not shown in the stats view?
This is not linked to an add-on but to the general way to let clients to subscribe to newsletter. I’m using mailchimp (so the mailchimp add-on), but this is valuable information for any e-mail management add-on…
The way WPDM works the website owner decides to subscribe all customers or no one by default. I decide this in the settings :
With this way of doing things, the customer cannot choose to be subscribed. There is no checkbox that he can check to say he wants the newsletter or not.
This is against GDPR law in Europe.
To be GDPR compliant, there should be a checkbox that the customer can check / uncheck during the checkout process.Like in this example :
If the customer cannot choose whether he wants to get the newsletter, it’s not GDPR compliant and I risk getting fined for it…
This is just for regular paid downloads in my case. Of course, this is not for email locked downloads, as the client is aware that he has to subscribe in order to get the download.
Hope it’s easier to understand this way.

I have a web page with seven downloads activated by seven modals that are downloading fine.
Today I added an 8th modal to the page. I duplicated the file in download manager, and replaced the URL with a new URL link and updated the file. I copied the shortcode for this new file and inserted it into the 8th modal on my Website. I am able to request the file, and agree to terms, but the file does not download.
To test, I went back to download managaer, and replaced the html file with one that is working on the same page. Saved the file (short code is the same) and the modal downloads correctly.
So I repeated the process by replacing the URL for the 8th file. Unfortunately, on the website this 8th modal allows me to request the download and agree to terms, but it does not download.
This is extremely frustrating. I am using the Avada Theme.

I originally ran into this issue using the free plugin, but never got a final response in my support ticket . I upgraded to Pro hoping that would solve the issue, but unfortunately it didn’t.
We’re running into an issue with a 900MB file on our WPDM installation. When using the WPDM link to download the file, the file stops at 500MB and appears to have finished, even though the file is actually 900MB.
Just to clarify, this is an issue with downloads, not an upload limit issue
We’ve tried adjusting the Download Speed (currently 20480), Resumable Downloads, and Output Buffering settings but have not been able to resolve the issue. When disabling both the Output Buffering and Resumable Downloads options, the WPDM download link gives us an error:

We have adjusted the server settings to increase the memory limit up to 6GB using both PHP INI settings and wp-config.php directives, but continue to receive the memory allocation error. We were also able to download the file successfully in the browser when placing it in another directory and accessing that URL directly. This leads us to believe there might be something specific to the WPDM plugin that is causing the issue.
Please let us know if there is anything you can do to help.

It’s really confusing, because I use permalink manager, the URL shows downloads/category/download name and it has an option to set Yoast Breadcrumbs to match the URL. When I do that I get downloads/downloads/category/download name in the URL but Yoast Breadcrumbs looks ok. But the url is broken.
So I disable that option and yoast just gives sitename>category>download name instead of sitename>downloads>category>download name.
Enabling the base category in WPDM doesn’t seem to make any difference. I just want the breadcrumbs to match the url
