Hi There,
Love the plugin but am having trouble getting the search page to look correct.
I would like the search page layout to look like this if possible
http://www.harrowcwu.org/downloads
I have tried loads of different shortcodes but it will not give me that layout all I seem to get is this.
Any help is mch appreciated.
I have tried to get an answer to this query for days now without success.
I use the Pro version of WPDM, I have created a large number of packages on my site, each containing a number of files. The individual files download ok but when users attempt to download the compressed Zip package, the downloaded file is empty. I cannot find any answers to how to correct this problem and it’s important for our customers to be able to do this. So can you please let me know what the solution is to this big problem.
I really do need to know the answer to this. If the Zip link isn’t supposed to work, then why is it there.
Hi guys,
I have the same problem als outlined in this older thread by another user here: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/all-downloads-giving-download-not-available-txt/
And it’s also as Shariar told the user there: there are no files linked to that package.BUT – and here comes the point – all dwonloads were linked to the respective files.
What we did is, we cloned the whole WP installation and put it to a new server (new IP, new Domain). Everything seemed fine, but not the downloads. All files where transported, but somehow WPDM just deleted(?!) all links between the package and the respective files. What can we do? We need that clone as it will be a productive part of a banking website for a customer.
So we’d need quite urgend support on this one. Thanks a lot in advance!
ChristophHi,
I have install the latest WPDM version 4.7.7 and it all works beautifully except for a big problem. My Zip downloads are all empty. If I download the packaged files individually, they are ok. So I know they are there and not empty. But when I download them the whole package as a Zip file, ther’s nothing tn there. Please let me know how to get around this. I really need this core facility.
Thanks
Hi – I am looking for a plugin where I can do the following…
Allow a manager or business owner buy a certain amount of downloads for their team and then easily distribute them. As soon as they download the last one they can no longer access the file. Is this something the paid version of your plugin can do?And if it can do this how would that work? Does each team member get a link to download the file and if so how? Do they each get a different password? Thanks.
Hiya,
On all of our download pages we have a email lock, e.g. https://www.excellgroup.com/downloads/excell-master-terms-conditions-v9-0-may-18-n6rn9j/.
This section is entitled “Subscribe to download” – how do I change the text to read something different? I’d like it to read “Enter your details to download”.
Thanks
Seb
Dear WPDM Team,
i am currently setting up a new page with WPDM Pro – i uploaded several packages and created a page using the wpdm-tree shortcode, to display all categories.
For some reason, this page is publicly accessible and even non-registered users can download the files. Am i using the wrong shortcode, or how can i display the downloads only to registered users? Also, after having logged in (when going to the login-page directly), the users are redirected to the dashboard – how can i add a link so they can get to the front-page? Currently they can only log-out or see their dashboard.
Thanks in advance!
Hi there
I have bought alot of different add-ons for wp download manager pro, and we are super excited about the project – which is almost done and ready to go live.
We are just hitting two small bumps:
1: when we have add’ed some files to the cart and then try to download it, it just downloads a text called something-wrong.txt with the text “file not found” inside out if.. and again if we try to send by email nothing happens
2: is it possible to remove the filename from [file_list] shortcode – i dont need the file names to be displayed. (an alternative could be to get the + button with out the rest of the shortcode)
Thank you in advanced – we are super pleased with your solution and will gladly recommend it to others!
How can I uninstall download manager without losing any of my files or data in the database?
The auto update feature doesn’t work correctly–the plugin disappears completely with the error “The plugin download-manager/download-manager.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.” This error has been true for quite a while. I’m currently running 4.7.2 and want to update to 4.7.7.
So I just want to do the update manually, but want to make sure I don’t lose any of the files or metadata for the existing downloads. If I deactivate the plugin and go to delete it, wordpress warns that the “plugin and files” will be removed, which is not desired.
How can I fix this problem?
Topic: "File Not Found"
I’m finding that some of my downloads are not accessible. When I click the link to download on a page, I instead download the text file that says “File Not Found.”
I have a multisite installation and this is on one of the sub-sites. I’ve deactivated and reactivated the plugin on the sub-site level as I’ve seen instructed in other threads.
Can you please help me correct this? I am using WPDM Pro.
Topic: Description is blank
I am using the following shortcode to try and display the description on the front end. However the description field is blank. I have followed the documentation here: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_all_packages-list-all-downloads-in-tabular-format-in-a-page/
[wpdm_all_packages order_by="update_date" order="DESC" colheads="Title|Description|Size|" cols="title|post_content|package_size|download_link"]
Why would this be blank?
