Hi Shahriar,
I’m not using WPDM templates tags. I have a custom theme, with custom PHP files. One of my php file is using the WP default loop to loop and display all the downloads.
Right now, I was using `$data[‘download_link’] = \WPDM\Package::downloadLink($data[‘ID’], 0, array(
‘template_type’ ► ‘link’
));` to display the download button.Now, I would like to :
- Add the cart
- Add the “+” button to add files to the cart, as I explained earlier in this thread
Which function should I use ? Do I have to do something regarding the JS to add file in cart ?

You are using the free version of WPDM there. But PDF Viewer requires the Pro version. Please install the Download Manager Pro and setSingle Column with Doc Previewas page template. Then the PDF viewer will be visible to private downloads.Thanks.

Until the transfer is done, I’ve downloaded the add-on on the wrong account to test it.
I have a custom PHP template file that list all the available downloads/packages. In my PHP file, I’ve added this code to display the cart :
<?php echo(do_shortcode('[wpdm_file_cart]')) ?>. This code displays the cart so it’s ok.Now I have to replace add a “Add to cart” button for each package. I can’t find a function/shortcode to do that… Could you please help me ?

You can restrict the Frontend Dashboard access from Downloads Settings Frontend Access Tab. Only allowed user roles will be able to access the page.

Yesterday my client’s downloads, all are with Google Drive, stopped working. It just had a blank error 500 page when you clicked the download button after you entered the password.
I renewed my pro license and updated to 4.9 today, thinking that may have been the issue.
When testing today, after I enter a password and click the download button, nothing at all happens. Not even a page refresh.
I then did a test by removing the password and when I click on the download button, it goes to the Google Drive file with no problem.
Can you please advise how to fix the issue as I really need the password lock to work again?

I am preparing an existing website to move to a new server. Most of the files within packages were added via the Browse function (Not the Upload function) which references files/folders OUTSIDE of the default WPDM Upload Path. (Client uses FTP to upload alot of files to custom directories)
On the new cloned site, none of the downloads work and return “File not found” messages. (THe migration of the entire site otherwise worked perfect)
The new server has a new file path structure. I cloned/migrated old site to new server, but the file paths have remained the same.
If I try to run Better Search and Replace, it recognizes/finds the old file paths, and says that it changed the database, but doesn’t actually change them according to the package view. But if I go back a second time to Search & Replace again, the original file path is no longer found. So the database changed, but the actual file path has not.

/srv/users/xxxxxxx/apps/yyyyyyyy/public/wp-content/uploads/custom-unique-folder-name-here/How can I adjust all of the saved file paths to the new structure? I saw in another post to use Migrate DB Pro. Would that be an option here?

Hi I am trying to set up my front downloads page to look like the categories block page on your demo.
However I can adda block in gertenberg but I can’t seem to select the category.
I can’t type in the box to select a category, if I click on the search icon it just greys out the box and doesnt actually do anything.
First of all – love the plugin! Great support and it’s super useful on my site.
What I am wondering is if there is a way to disable access to the ‘page’ that each download creates when a new product is added. I notice each product has an associated URL. That’s great and all but I want to put all the downloads on one page with shortcode on my member’s site and allow members to download it for free. That’s totally doable at the moment but I don’t like the fact anyone can access the specific download page and just grab the download for free without logging on.
Now I also realize I can jump through a bunch of settings and hoops to make each download ‘page’ created be locked but wouldn’t it be nice if I had the option to turn off the direct link from inside this plugin? Does this make sense? (see image)

after update from WPDM Pro 4.7.6 to the newest 4.9 the downloads won’t work anymore.
When trying to download a pdf-file for example, it doesn’t start a download like before, but will load a page with /download/wpdmdl=xxx&refress=xxxxx, after some time there is cryptic code with an “Your email is blocked!” text behind it.Till my customer need this to work, I’ve reinstalled the 4.7.6, but I really want to know, what the problem is.
Developer console and debuggin enabled doesn’t give any informations (besides a notice: offset 1 in line 315 of wpdm-functions.php)1. Up until today, I have used the free plugin version to set up a new page.
I have inserted the following shortcode into several dozen pages, referencing the link-template-default which rendered a nice, one-column list of downloads:

2. With the upgrade to the Pro version, the same link template has somehow changed (link-template-default), so all of my pages no longer displayed the same list. Here is one example where it is now showing a panel instead.
3. Since I don’t want to update 60+ pages by changing the shortcode to another link template, I figured out how to go into PHP in order to override the template.
4. For now, I have come up with the following snippet, hoping that it would nicely show my downloads like in the preview window within WP. I have overwritten the link-template-default, but the result looks pretty terrible and I can’t figure out how to make it a list again:

It is not possible to hide the parent category or order by category. But you can click on the category link to filter packages.
By the way, if you want to show the parent why not drop the parent category completely?

It is not possible using tags. All packages table uses category as a filter.
Template customization (
/download-manager/tpls/wpdm-all-downloads.php) is required to filter packages based on tags.In reply to: Help! Download link doesn't work when I remove lock
Your theme is deactivating the click on the download link. The click is triggered by JS onclick event.
However, there is a workaround. I have created a clone ( Single Column, Flat Clone ) for the page template ( Single Column, Flat ) you are using there. Replaced the
[download_link]template tag with<a href="[download_url]" class="btn btn-sm btn-success">[link_label]</a>This uses direct URL instead of JS onclick event to initiate download.Check the example here https://www.teatimemonkeys.com/download/single-opt-in-mailchimp-english/
This clone template will work with only packages that have no lock. For locked packages use the original ( Single Column, Flat ) template.
If all of your downloads are unlocked, let me know. I will bulk update page template for all packages so you don’t have to update one by one.

Download starts automatically after submitting the email address. The download button is shown to allow more downloads. Please send me the link to check your package.
I have several identically configured downloads. Some work correctly. Others do not.
With the ones that fail, when clicking on the Download button, the pop-up simply disappears (rather than saying “processing”.
Also, when you mouseover the download button, it does not activate (change color).
