Hello,
I need to know how to change the URL from the development address to the live domain for my license.
Regards,
Martin
Greetings,,
So I recently recommended that my client purchase the Pro Edition of WPDM, after investigating if it would meet their needs. In fact it more than met our minimum functionality requirements, and the Special Package was just icing on the cake. We proceeded to get it setup, and packages migrated into the system…
Unfortunately, Nirvana was not long lasting… First WordPress released v5.2 this week, which we upgraded to, and life was going fine, or so it seemed. We then (after some issues with their Hosting provider), migrated to PHP v7.3.5….
This is where the happy place died… One of the new features of WP 5.2 was the Site Health Tool, which checks for critical issues and recommended improvements.
The following errors were found:
The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.
The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: [] cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes receivedLoopback requests are used to run scheduled events, and are also used by the built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability.
The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.
Error encountered: (0) cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes receivedObviously, with the number of plugins on the site (40), we proceeded to disable them all, and work, one-by-one to find which plugins triggered these critical errors. Only two did so:
WPDM – download manager 4.9.3
WPDM – File Manager addon v1.3.1Additionally, these two pluggins also triggered the following recommended improvement notice:
Background updates ensure that WordPress can auto-update if a security update is released for the version you are currently using.
Warning Could not confirm that the wp_version_check() filter is available.
The system “seems” to mostly work, even with these errors… The Download (archive page) works just fine ( It’s currently set to Admin only while we implemented the system)… in fact it lists the package catagories, the actual packages themselves, and so far downloads seem to actually occur…
Attachment’s description:
WPDM – Uploads Page Initial State -1.png : This is what it looks like when you load the page from the menu. The results vary if you keep refreshing the page, OR mouse over the table.. But the page never fully renders everything that USED to be show under PHP 7.0.33.WPDM – User Dashboard Page Initial State – 1.png This has the same problem, as it doesn’t render all the download history, or user info at the top. In addition, like with the Uploads page, the menu links on the left side are also not rendered.
Additionally we found this in the error_log file in the root directory under cPanel (Sanitized for Posting):

Versions of PHP / cURl:
PHP version 7.3.5 (Supports 64bit values)
PHP SAPI cgi-fcgi
cURL version 7.64.0
——————————————–So… Any idea what’s been broken, how, and why? We’ve not made any changes to any of the PHP files, they’re all exactly as WordPress and WPDM installed them.
I’ve been testing the front-end of my website and noticed the following:
1. When I go to edit a package the category get deselected
2. If logged in as Author on the front-end only I can edit any package regardless of what user created it. ie. I can use this url and change the the number of the package to edit it: https://wbabin.com/my-papers/?adb_page=edit-package/649/. If I try the similar way to edit on the back-end it says Sorry, you are not allowed to edit this item. Which I would expect the front-end to do the same.** Please disregard capture-1.jpg as I accidentally added it and can’t delete it. Capture-2 is the screenshot to refer to.
When I click on “Addons” in the download menu I get the following error message:
cURL error 7: couldn’t connect to host
What does this mean and how do I/you fix it?
Topic: Plug In now not working….
My Membership plugin options return error but will eventlly show page but membership is not working.. Here is one of the error messages:

Topic: Change URL key
Hi,
some time ago we bought a download manager pro license. When we bought it, we put the URL of the testing website (afemefa.XXXX.XXXXX.com), and now I realize that it was not changed when we published the website and it did not allow me to add the key to the real domain: afemefa.com. Could you change it?
Thank youI have been using WPDM for a few weeks with no problems until I upgraded to WordPress 5.1.1. When I go to add a new download the “Select File” appears very briefly then disappears. Clicking on Upload, Browse, or URL does nothing. I can’t select any files loaded in “download-manager-files”. Can you help?
