First of all please Make sure that WPDM and all add-ons you are using of WPDM are in the latest version. Now the latest version of wpdm is 6.0.2 . If you can’t update it directry from WordPress dashboard, Please update from here

I have just checked your website. Everything is fine as it should be.

Unfortunately, Frontend author does not have the ability to create tag option yet. Author needs to select the admin created tags and categories from the frontend. Admin can make tags from this url of your staging website.

However you can show any custom input fields to frontend author using this addon:

if you add packages without attached files to categories, then it will be ignored. There should not be other reasons for it.

In a private reply, it would be better if you provided a relevant URL and administrator access, if possible, to check further.
