So, these individual shortcodes don’t exist? I know there is one for the Favorites [wpdm_package_list] but download history doesn’t already exist as its own shortcode?

I tried [wpdm_user_profile] and [wpdm_package_list] on my page, but they are showing incorrectly. I have favorites saved and in both of these shortcodes it displays I have none, but with the [wpdm_user_dashboard] shortcode, they are there.

Do you have any demos or documentation to visualize this feature? I want to see it in action, as I don’t feel like your explanation is very helpful. I don’t have the ability to implement the feature to test, so I’d like to see what it does upfront to decide if this is something that would be beneficial for us to pursue.

I guess my question is what is the point of the AI templates? What purpose do they serve and what capabilities do they offer? I’m just failing to see the benefit to creating a template with AI.

What do you mean by you will be able to create templates? We don’t currently have either of these AI platforms, but are investigating ways to integrate AI with our site. Do you have more documentation on what these templates are intended to do or demos on how this integration further enhances WPDM? As we plan, we want to understand what tools are available to us, their functionality and plans for future growth.

Is this not something that can be adjusted and pushed out in a future update as it was last time? Our process for granting access to outside vendors is complicated and it would be preferable if making adjustments on our site wasn’t required and the fix could be pushed through a plugin update.

Just curious how this request is coming along. We are still seeing guest users logged in our stats, although they have decreased.

I have updated to the newest version, but am still experiencing the issue of no preview for .xlsx files. The dropdown for multiple files is there, but blank.

I’m not seeing an update available. I’m running PDF Viewer version 3.1.2…is that the updated one?

Per my original ticket (https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/stats-missing-info-pulling-guest-user/), Shahjada said the issue was fixed on September 10. I’m not sure what version that was and with no ability to roll back the plugin to an earlier version, I cannot test.

However, I only noticed this in our reporting from the last week. So I think the issue would have occurred with the 6.6.2 update.

I have updated to 6.3.3 and am still seeing some download stats coming from “Guest” user.

I’ll have to monitor and see. I will let you know…I just wanted to get the conversation started at least in case this was a known issue.

I’ve been able to fix this issue without the need to roll back.

I am no longer authorized to grant access to our website from other countries per our IT protocols. It isn’t easy to grant this access. Is there a chance you could ensure these file types work with the [pdf_gallery] shortcode on your side before I pursue granting access?

Follow-up…while I figured out the above, the [pdf_gallery] shortcode still isn’t displaying a document preview at all for .xlsx files. It just has the empty dropdown bar to swap between files, but it is empty and there’s no preview at all.

Granting access to our site is quite difficult in following IT procedures. If there’s a chance you can check this on your end first before we open up our site, that would be great.

After further investigation, I have been able to solve this issue, but want to share what I found because it may impact you since these did used to work just fine. This is happening on PDF Viewer previews with both the [doc_preview] and [pdf_gallery] shortcodes.

It appears that if the .xlsx file isn’t saved with “view only” permissions, the preview won’t show…it also won’t download or show the preview/download links in the attached files. Instead, I get an error that says “File not found. The URL of the original file is not valid or the document is not publicly accessible. Verify the URL is correct, then contact the document owner” and it links to Microsoft Office help.

Once file permissions are updated, they preview and download fine. Is this completely a file type issue or is there something that can be done on the WPDM side to fix?

I got the plugin updated and it looks great! Any further info on how I can change the message that displays? I need help with that filter hook.

I just updated PDF Viewer…loos great! Thank you so much.

Were you able to provide any further detail on this?
I have looked at this filter hook already and am confused at exactly how to implement: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/filter-reference/wpdm_download_expired_message/. I’m not sure I’m code savvy enough, so any help you could give me to know exactly how to use this would be helpful. The commented out portion is confusing…I’m unsure of what objects I need to target. For instance…if I want the message to say “Resource Expired” instead of “Package Expired” and then “This resource expired on [date/time] and is currently with Compliance for review” how would I do that exactly?

Thanks for forwarding the PDF Viewer issue. Again, it is a big process for us to grant temporary access to our site, so if there is any way for you to adjust using your test site and providing code for us to implement, that would be preferred. Or if it can be released in the next update?

I do now see it appears to be working, but it is displaying differently than it used to. Do you know if there is a way to alter the message that displays on the PDF Viewer when a package is expired? Our users tend to notice that red bar that says “invalid or corrupted PDF file” before seeing the expiration message which causes confusion as they think the file is just broken.

Additionally, I’d like to change the message that is displayed when a package is expired. I found this, but don’t understand how to alter it to work in my functions: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/filter-reference/wpdm_download_expired_message/. Can you assist me with what exactly the code would need to be?
