2- I cleared the cache and tried from 2 browsers. Whenever the package is entered as “attach dir”, the audio player button does not show. please check:
This is strange as the login details I provided are my main details. I downloaded the 2 files now wand re-uploaded them successfully through Filezilla FTP.
Can you kindly check again? otherwise, can you please provide me with the 2 modified files and I upload them? the modifications were done in the 2 files i provided in my previous response.
1- I downloaded the v4.3, but can’t find the option to turn off the download packages for the RSS feeds. can you please tell me where it is?
2- Also, I noticed that for audio files, if you add files using “browse” or “upload”, the audio player button appears next to the download button, but if you add the same files using “attach dir”, the audio player button does not appear.
Both cases use the smae “[file_list]”
please check this page: http://wp.me/p6dzea-66u
these are added using the “attach dir” option. the player does not show.
3-It might be a good idea to add the fixes you did for me before for the removing the first word in the file name. it is not an isolated case, but a problem that will face any non English users.

Hi,
I am on a dedicated server not a hosting company, and i have stats monitors and i am sure there are no real visitors downloading the packages yet.
moreover, the packages that are “discovered” by bots, keep getting downloaded with the same rate, while the other ones don’t get downloaded at all.
IS there any other way to stop this? can the “rel=..etc” had been turned off somehow in my copy of the plugin?
where is it written and i can check it.
in my live website i will be having tens of thousands of files to download and if this is not fixed then it will be a disaster.
cheers,
you are a MASTER….. problem solved..
i can’t thank you enough…
please let me know which files you edited so i can save a copy on my hard drive.
thanks a million…
Hi @Shaon,
But this package already downloads with the first word omitted. the pdf file is names:
الشباب في الكتاب المقدس القس مكسيموس صموئيل
the file gets downloaded as:
في الكتاب المقدس القس مكسيموس صموئيل
the first word is omitted:
الشباب
have a look at the attached screenshot. you will find that the name is shortened in the cell just above the download button, while if you hover on the download button the status bar shows the full name. however the file that gets downloaded is missing the first word.
sorry for the confusion.
my problem is now not with zip files. my problem is with single files.
The download manager still omits the first word. All what i am saying is that this problem was fixed while you were fixing the zip problem to me, that’s why i continued with this topic.
The problem is now in single files.
please refer to my previous reply above.
i cleared the package information and updated it, but still get the first word omitted.
Can you please set the basename function for me for the individual files too?
currently when i download a single file, the first word of the file gets lost. please check: http://wp.me/p6dzea-4UZ
Also, when i create a new package, before anyone downloads it for the first time, the download count show a shotcode: [download_count], which seems a glitch.
is there a way to show “0” till the first download?
thanks a lot
