Thanks for the reply.
I posted this in the “Feature Request” forum. hopefully it can get added in future, as it is very useful for packages with large number of individual files.

Hi,
Did you try the download on a windows based machine? i keep making packages and try them, but all appear with corrup file names inside.
and the packages never update their file sizes.

all server related fixes are completed now, and yet these two problems are outstanding.

Thanks a lot.

(leaving the file size issue aside, as the file name corruption in the zip file was before this change).

Can you please try to download the Zip file from a Windows based computer? The zip file you sent me works only on Apple.

I tried the downloads from 2 cities in Australia, 4 computers, as well as in Argentina, none gives proper names using Winrar and winzip.

I want to know how come a dynamically generated zip file, generated in the same server, give different file names INSIDE the zip file !

Also, i noticed in many package that when i add a file to an existing package, the total package size does not get updated ever.
(again, this is before my server file size issue, which h is getting fixed now)

Can you please advise?

ok thanks, i will contact my system engineer.

However, i am still waiting for your comment about the possibility of help using the “Basename” function and what are the modifications in the php file, so i can save them for future reference.

***UPDATE***:

I think that the plugin broke down somehow after the modifications you did?

The files no longer show their file size during download. and if i used Internet Download Manager (IDM), i get that the file is of unknown size.

Also, I tried added an extra file to an existing package, but the total package size did not increase, AND the first word of the file name still got lost.

Moreover, the files now don’t play in iOS (tried them on Iphone 5).

can you please advise what is happening?

Hi Shaon,

Sorry, what you said is not right..!

i am saying that the “custom uploaded image button” does not get uploaded !

You asked me to send you a link to where the custom button broken link would appear, so i attached it again, and again shown in admin panel as a broken image, but i chose it and applied the settings and it was shown as a broken image in front side.

What you have done now is that you chose one of the existing library from the plugin itself…this is not my problem at all.

Anyway, i attached the button to this message for you to try.

Yes, but it is still not showing in the admin side, it shows as a broken likn in both admin and fron side.

Hi Shaon,

thanks for the reply. 2 notes i can see:

1-the zip file (even the one you downloaded contains 3 files while the package contains 4 files!
2- please have a look at the image i attached in this reply, i donloaded the package 4 times and all gie the same result. i can’t understand how you can see correct file names while i can’t despite they are downloaded from the same server !!

i am having several problems with utf-8 characters in file names,
for example, when putting more than one file into a package, the downloaded zip file contains corrupt file names, as there are originally inf Arabic (UTF-8)

also, when adding files from the server, or even directly uploading them, i always loose the first word of the file name.

i was going to buy the pdf stampler, but now after the problems you face, i am pretty sure that my files will be corrupt to. Did you have any solution on your problem?

**UPDATE**
I disabled the output buffering and the dowload is working. however, when i click on the dowload button it takes around a minute to open the download window, although i am on a dedicated server in a site under development with no traffic.

Right click + save as seems to work much faster, but when people click on the download button they will think there is an error.

can you please explain?
