if you are using wpdm pro 4.0.0, then newsletter add-on still may not work well, but after final release of wpdm pro 4, we will update the add-on to wpdm 4 compatibility, then you also will have the option to add subscriber manually.

I see, actually some styles has been changed in latest update, as now its using bootstrap 3. anyhow if you change the link template button then the page will look better.

please create a link template using only tag [download_link] and assign the link template with short-code or to the package, and use this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-image-button/ to change download link image

actually all categories and lock options should be migrated properly too except some exception, like somehow if the migration is failed for any reason 1st time, then in 2nd try category creation could be missed, in that case need to create and assign categories manually. and lock options should work perfectly. not seeing any reason to miss lock options.
