To update wpdm plugin/add-on, you need to deactivate and delete old version,  download new version from our site , then install and activate new version, however we are working on auto-update feature.

I’ve tested and it is working fine, but guest order is actually for the users who don’t want to signup or create an account in your site, lwho already have an account in your site and already logged-in to that account, he is actually not a guest anymore, he is a member and when he purchase an item it will be associated with his account and he can download it from another page ( http://www.colleengleason.com/members-download/ ) where need to use short-code [wpdm-pp-purchases] , also when a guest become a member, he also can associate his order with your account applying order order in members download page.

Is it possible to combine package descriptions and show it on a certain page or category page with the use of a shortcode or something else.

ok now, sorry, was our mistake, replaced “docs” with “docx” in wpdm-functions.php

ok now, the problem was, you were using old version  custom field add-on, Now I’ve updated it and so issues is fixed.

Change the Package to Download, it is in wpdm-functions.php, function name wpdm_common_actions,  But google bot issue can’t be related to wpdm pro.

You need to use this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-default-values/ to setup a default value.

This only will happen if you were logged-in when buying the item. If the order is already associated with the account then guest download will not work anymore.

If you are using multiple remote files, you need to enable individual downloads. Package download will not work as for creating zip file, files need to be stored in same server.
