For downloading directly without having to jump to the next page with the link-template, please replace
[download_link]with<a href="[download_url]" class="btn btn-primary">[link_label]</a>in related link-template/link-template PHP file.And for the white line issue, can you please share the related package URL too for checking the PDF? please check and let me know.

Thanks for elaborating. Now, I think on this page, https://se-audiotechnik.de/index.php/service/downloads/?lang=en, you have used link templates for packages. Do you want packages like B 15 Data Sheet EN, when anyone clicks download will start automatically? please elaborate on this.

I am using free version of plugin. I have created a page for download of PDF eBook. When I click on the link to download, the ebook opens in the browser with the file location instead of downloading. (“open in new browser” option is not enabled in settings).
With this file location anyone can have access to download it. Why the file not downloading?I have opposite problem. I am using free version of plugin. I have two questions that are probably easy to answer:
1st: If I create a download and then call it in the frontend, this link does not generate the download link for me, but redirects me to another page with the template. How and where do I set it up so that I receive the download link directly without having to make another click?2nd:
When I upload a PDF (and here you can include the first question) and then want to download it in the frontend, I get white lines in the browser view (mostly in graphics). The PDF itself is perfectly ok, because offline and opened in the file system, it is displayed correctly. It’s not the browser, it’s the same display problem under Firefox, Chrome and Opera. If I download the PDF and view it with Acrobat Reader or print it, it is also OK. So it must be the plug-in – or am I wrong here?It would be nice if someone could help me 🙂

A page illustrating the question is this one, which contains tables generated by Download Manager Pro, linking to download packages:
(https://www.anybodytech.com/resources/customer-downloads/)All download packages require a user to be logged in.
The red “Login” button has the desired behavior, in that pressing it links to our login page, but with a redirect back to our download overview page after login (Example: https://www.anybodytech.com/my-account/?redirect_to=/resources/customer-downloads/)
The question is, if something like this is also possible for the links in the table (labeled “AnyBody Modeling System (64-bit version)”) directly to the download packages. Pressing one of these when not logged in just links to our login page like this:
(https://www.anybodytech.com/my-account/)But we would have liked that it instead also put in a redirect argument in the URL like this:
(https://www.anybodytech.com/my-account/?redirect_to=/download/anybodysetup-7-4-1-8830_x64/)But I have not found any settings where I can specify this, so I’m asking if it is possible?
I would expect that this should be somehow defined for the download packages and not the table itself, as the link directly to a download package could also appear elsewhere, and should also trigger a login-and-redirect-back if necessary.In reply to: file not found!

I am trying to set up our download section so that links to packages (with anonymous access disabled) trigger a login, after which I want the user to return to the package pointed to by the link.
I have set up “Login required message” like this:

When I use a link directly to a download package the user is also sent to our login page, but no “redirect_to” (like in the example above) is present in the URL, so after login the user is not redirected to the desired package.
I could not find any option in the settings for specifying this redirect. Is it possible to do this?
Hi,
Canno’t find a good way to activate the option for social network sharing before downloading.
I do have the ID client key public and secret, but it do not work.
When I try it, I have on the first popup :“Invalid response status code (0)”
then when I click for sharing, I have:
“The redirect_uri does not match the registered value”
Any help on this ?

Hi, at this moment after the upgrade version of the plugin, the download link not work, no error for miss file or other error was returned.

When viewing my website at https://cullingworthparishcouncil.gov.uk/document-archive/ the header displays correctly (and no footer is displayed).
When I click on a link for instance meeting agenda 2015, https://cullingworthparishcouncil.gov.uk/download-category/meeting-agenda-2015/ the header is not correct… the menu structure is broken
How can I fix this?

On the demo page (first section of folders on https://try.wpdownloadmanager.com/), when I click on ‘Free downloads – explore’, I see this (https://try.wpdownloadmanager.com/downloads/free-downloads/). On my site, I see this when clicking ‘explore’: https://ibb.co/bPCvdTv
The items inside the category show as plain links. Ideally I want them to show as an icon, title and a download button, roughly like this: https://ibb.co/z409jMF

I used the Premium page template in a download package after upgrading to the latest WPDM version, and I always get this shortcode at the bottom (on the frontend):
[free_download_btn]
This button appears both when I have no locks on the package, and when I have a form lock. It doesn’t happen in any other template.
To temporarily resolve the issue I edited this file:
/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/Package/views/page-templates/premium-package.phpAnd commented out line 10:
<div class="col-md-5"> [download_link_extended] <hr/> <!-- [free_download_btn] --> </div>I hope this gets resolved in the next update.

Based on the scenario, you can follow the below steps.
1. Set When a user is not allowed to download as

Two features are missing for me in WPDM + Directory Add On :
– the ability to enable deep linking : each selected filter should change the url, and we should be able to pre-populate this url before accessing the archive page, then obtain a filtered display on page load.
– the ability to add 1 or 2 custom taxonomies in the filter sidebar. It is sometimes impossible to use only one category.
Ie : I’m working on a project where WPDM manages only a part of a greater ensemble of contents. I have to rely on a custom taxonomy to group different content types (articles, events, downloadable documents,…) AND on wpdm categories to group downloadable documents types.This could be a paid addon if other customers are interested. I was very surprised and disappointed that WPDM Pro + Directory Add On doesn’t integrate these features that feels to me essentials and obvious.
Is there a chance that this will become a feature in the future ?
(I managed to add custom taxonomy in the archive page filters and to pre-populate filters from url parameters, but it would be a cleaner integration with a native code from yours)

I renewed Download Manager Pro in April 2022 but there is notification at WP dashboard “Download Manager Pro support and update period was expired on March 2, 2022” with a link renew order.

We might have a problem with Download Manager plugin. We found a heading “h4” in the footer, but it is empty. How can we remove it or change it as a paragraph? You will find the problem in the code below.
