Hi all.
when a user logged try to download a file he/she gets this message:
Error in call to API function “files/get_temporary_link”: Invalid authorization value in HTTP header “Authorization”: “Bearer”. Expecting “Bearer “.
We use dropbox for file storage. In plugin settings > cloud storage tab, I’ve tried to click on “connect with dropbox” button, but it gives this error:

I have setup access to a certain membership level but it doesn’t seem to work, I test dummy account with no permission (copy and paste the link) and it can open the download just fine.
Same problem here. Any sugestions?

When you attach file as URL. WPDM simply redirect to that URL when someone click on download link, there is no way to hide the URL. But, if you want to keep the item protected you may follow any of the following steps:- Upload the file through WPDM
- Attach file using server file browser
- Using any of the could storage add-on Amazon S3, Dropbox Explorer

Hi,
When i insert an URl instead of using the drop the files box, the download end up to NOT be mapped so anyone can see the source link of the downloaded file.
Any idea how to fix it?

We’ve been using an old version of Download Manager (4.9.8) but we’re now compelled to update to the latest version (6.2.9) in order to be fully compatible with PHP 8.x. In the process of updating our staging server in for this, I installed the new version and saw that the appearance was vastly different from the production page. Here are the two:

Can you see what might be causing this difference? Unfortunately I can’t link to the pages as they are password protected.

I’ve tested on the archive page, install download with gravity form and form lock is working fine.
But when selecting option “Email download link”, wpdm add-on calling email function properly, but your server is not sending that email. Please check the email settings with your server, to find out why server is not sending the email.
I have thousands of text links to download files. I would like to convert them to buttons on an image such as the image below:

What is the quickest way to do this assuming my site already has thousands of such links (currently text links that I want to convert to buttons) and it still uses the classic editor.

I think for the download package mail is not sending a download link, This may be an issue with your SMTP settings issue, for not sending emails issue, can you please follow this article,

When I try [doc_preview] in link-/page-template, the google document viewer renders the PDF.
My Client has a page with a lot of PDFs of lot of pages…, so while rendering all the documents pages, the PERFORMANCE suffers.
Clients don’t want to scroll the PDF in these iframes. They want the FIRST PAGE of the PDF as PREVIEW and then read after download.I tried [pdf_thumb] and [pdf_thumb_HxW], but all I can see ist a dark grey Placeholder Image. PHP Module Imagick is installed.
Any idea?

Sorry for the delays, somehow I missed it, as wpdm free version doesn’t have integrated link/page template editor it is not easy to explain it with an screenshot. You need to follow the template editing process here:And from the template file replace
[download_link]tag with[download_link_extended]tag.However, in wpdm free version, there is an integrated extended page template, you may use that too:

I’m looking for a shortcode (for the link template or page template) to get the FIRST PAGE of a PDF rendered instead of a preview of the whole document [doc_preview] (which is not good for performance if you have a lot of downloads on one single page)
I don’t want to generate manually the FIRST PAGE of the document as image to use it as “featured Image”neither do I want to use Icons.Any Solution?
