Hello, is there any way to wrap the download link with an image? I don’t want any text, just an image I have which says Download.

Hi, I just bought the Download Manager PRO and installed the plugin in WP. I tried the steps described in the docs, but i can’t create the effect i want…. The embed code produces some unwanted results… No matter what i try, the result stays the same… A huuuuge icon, I can’t view the page from wp-admin (404 error)…

To fill right side, just try select another link template for that category.

Not displaying the archive page was caused by renaming the permalink to /download (in the settings there “WPDM URL Pacakge Base” was filled in with “dowload” I don’t know whta this means but the combination made the archive page not work anymore. This is now solved. But the display of the images and the layout and not working of the dropdown on the categories is still not working (I put the file to 777) Hope to hear from you soon.

Topic: Nothing Downloads?
Hi,
I have just installed Download Manager and populated it with a few categories and documents.
However, when I click on a document from the tree view all I get is a black ish see through screen (kind of like lightbox?) and nothing downloads?Link here http://yorkmead.co.uk/yk2/?page_id=471
Also, on that page is there any way to hide the individual files at the bottom of the list as id rather people just navigated through the categories?

I dont want it to go to the page with the download link but so the user will only have to click on the download image I have already created, and it will start download the package..

I can’t find that. I am having lots of problems with the current version. It seems to break the WordPress themes and after applying the CSS fix which is sticked in the first post, the page and link templates layouts look different.

1) That seems like a lot of work for a plugin that’s supposed to have this option. Better to inform people before they buy, IMHO.
2) I see. I took out any locking and tried the link, and it is indeed preventing the download, so this works.
3) cache dir is writableAnyway, since I wasted more than a day on this I decided to skip the locking. Maybe it’s for the better, at least wpdm gives me a statistic on how many poeple downloaded the files. Thanks

I also bought Block Hotlink, which has a serial number but I was never asked to enter it and haven’t found a way to enable it. Maybe that’s why my downloadlinks in emails is not working? Please advise, thanks.
Hi,
Today I was wondering why some of my custom posts did not work anymore. The permalink structure was broken for this custom post type. So it was necessary to go back to a backup of my site and database. This way I found out that WPDM 3.3.4 breaks my theme: http://themeforest.net/item/flare-responsive-business-portfolio-wp-theme/1969512
I even desinstalled the 3.3.2 version and cleaned the database tables starting with ahm_ and did a clean install of 3.3.4. However as soon as I activate WPDM 3.3.4 it breaks the custom post type, e.g. http://fotobeam.de/portfolio/blickwinkel/ or http://fotobeam.de/bilder/picasso-in-porto/
Are you altering anything outside the download-manager folder or outside the ahm database tables? Because deinstalling your plugin or deleting the plugin folder did not solve the problem. I had to restore a backup.

Also, maybe not related, the default “downloads” permalink does not work (404), as specified in the Settings.

The package link is http://www.robvens.com/download/mgc-4-3-1-voor-windows/It seems that templates are just for links and places that the package is promoted. Is there a way to customize the appearance of the details page. For example, we want to allow individual file downloads, but there are no passwords. It looks odd to have a table with a blank column for password. Also, we do not need the download button for the zip file. Also, we’d prefer that the row for stock not appear in the other table. What’s that supposed to be for anyways?

- it happening because your theme css conflicts with bootstrap.css, can be resolve just delete some css from bootstrap.css
- delete the file: /plugins/download-manager/modules/css.php . not required anymore from WPDM Pro Xtreme ( v3.3.3 )
- select default link template or user extra class with download link tag, for example:
- [download_link btn] or
- [download_link btn btn-large] or
- [download_link btn btn-large btn-success]

Thanks for the update. However I have some problems with it:1. The text “Email Adresse” in a widget from Wysija Newsletter plugin cannot be read anymore. Disabling the Download Manager solves the problem:2. The link text of a download package appears twice when using the “download link with icon” template:3. I bought Download Manager Pro but had to delete it when I had trouble with my site. I have my licence number but not the download link.Can someone provide me with a download link to the pro version? For some reason, in my account, there is no record of the purchase. I’ve checked around the site but cannot find a link.Thanks.
