Hi, We’ve installed download manager pro, but we’re having an issue that when you click on a file, rather than bringing up a details box with a link to download the file, it is just showing an iframe of the blog page?
From reading another thread it looked like the issue was selecting a different template for the ‘Page Template’ in the settings. However the only template that shows for us is the default page template…
Any help would be appreciated…
I’m missing 3 things in WDM Pro:
1. Seo options per download page(tags/description), not much but will make it to find easier by search engines
2. Search tags – additional option for download, so people will have possibility to find what they are looking much easier(i belive there was something like this in Download Monitor)
3. More than one external link per download – i can add more than one package for one download page, but extended links are limited to one, would be nice to have possibility to add more.I cannot figure out why timthumb.php isn’t displaying the thumbnail images correctly on our download links. All images are in their proper folders.

yes, uncheck “individual download” and then [file_list] will show list of files only, without download button
Is there a way to create a simple, plain links template without the file download button to the right similar to the way the [file_list] gets displayed?

Topic: Can I hyperlink to document?
I would like to include links to documents within the page text, something like “You can download this document”, with the word “download” a hyperlink to a document previously uploaded.
In other words, I do not want to use the shortcode.
Is this possible? Many thanks, great plugin.

So i just removed qoute markers from links and it’s just work fine – same with #3 issue, kinda weird but it actually works

and about lightbox – unfortunely i can’t add class to images outside content area(like preview images),
i think Lightbox does not consider download page(page template) as “normal” page(i might be wrong), still i will try to figure it out
btw. any info on letters in “version” tab?

#4 i figured out myself later too,
about #2 – i tried few fancybox plugins(including yours), but they just don’t want to work on my WP installation, maybe my template causing problems – i’m not sure, but any lightbox plugin works just fine, but for some reason, those LB plugins does not recognize those preview images in template view as normal images(already tried various options) – if you have any alternative then please tell me.

somehow plugin adding my website adress in front of destination url(anywhere im using a href code).
and there’s other think i would like to ask – i would like to add letters to “version” too, for now it’s only numbers – but sometimes versions are alphas, betas or theres letters at the end of the version – any chance to change that?

I already did, support respond checking custom field add-on and im still waiting for awnser.

you don’t have to use image button add-on anymore. as you can use image url directly with template tag, for example [download_link image-url-here]

Here’s the problem Shaon. If a client changes the category name then suddenly all the custom links need to be reset. Then what? Big design flaw.
I use breadcrumbs in my template. The path is showing the correct term “Downloads”, but when you open a single file page it’s called Home // Downloads // wpdmpro. The problem is that the term “Downloads” is now linked to http://www.domain.xx//wpdmpro/ instead of http://www.domain.xx//downloads/ which I created for the downloads. How can I fix this issue?
Next problem is the widget WPDM Categories. I have assigned a site template in the settings. But when you a open a single file page, the widgets disappears and the default sidebar of the theme is shown. Please let me know how to solve this issue.

What is functions.php, how/where do i access/use it?
