I am having the same behavior. [wpdm_tree download_link=1] generate link in form: http://slovhf.si/?wpdmdl=
There is missing id for download or… ????
Mali
Please use cols=2
with category short-code.
Yes, you can hide anything you want, you simply need to clone current template, remove [download_link]
tag and [download_count]` tag, then save it as new template, lastly use the new template with category short-code. More details about templates are here:

Will there be fix for [download_link=1], too?
Hello,
I purchased WP download Manager today and I have a problem with titles of documents. On widget latest documents, I Have full file’s name display. But If I click on a document name or on the category link to see list of files, files’names are shorten. A visitor cannot read a file full name.
Please see link http://www.cassavaweed.org/knowledge-repository/publications/
I do not see any setting to change it.
In addition, hoew can I hide download link and only leave file name link? Can I hide stats?
Please help me, this is an urgent project. Thanks
Hi Shaon,
I received a notice about security vulnerabilities in the 4.1.7 version I’m using but I’m not sure how to update to version 4.1.8. There is nothing in my downloads to suggest updating. Do I update through my WordPress admin section for plugins? The last time I checked, there was no direct link for updating.
Thank you,
Cylinda

Dear all,
I’m using the template “link template embedded” for people to sign up. Everything works, so also the confirmation mail and the download, but after clicking the sign up button there is a white screen that says
{“error”:”<div class=\”alert alert-success\”>Download link sent to your email!<\/div>”,”downloadurl”:””}
Do you have any idea to how to solve this error?
Thanks so much!
Hubertus

to link file from out side of wp root, you need to change file browser root from download manager settings page.
[wpdm_tree download_link=1] still doesn’t work for me ๐
@davidcharris, did you try with exactly [wpdm_tree download_link=1]
I make all the manipulations to send a download link the email is registered but the problem is that checking my emails I have not received the email with the download link . Why?
Well, I uninstalled and reinstalled. I uploaded a fresh file. I got the same error on my test page. I disabled “Resumable Downloads”, saved the setting, and was able to download the file. I went back to settings, and the enable option was selected again. I was still able to download the file. So, I don’t know if that will fix it for additional files, or whether I need to go through the disable/enable step for each file, but it will work.
As for the ugly links that don’t fit in my sidebar, can I assume that is something the Pro version will allow me to fix?

1. please update to v2.7.7, login link issue fixed there
2. Direct download link http://your-doamin/?wpdmdl=ID
permission-denied.txt
is correct, guests can’t access to direct download link when it is members only. You need to use short-code to show proper message there instead of download link.
If you are already using v2.7, use of those table already dropped, otherwise, it is ahm_files
, but wp_ahm_files
is used in v3
Good morning, just updated to v4.1.8 and I’m not able to create new downloads. When i create a new doc I am able to attach files, icons, templates, etc. But when i click on publish the content of the doc is blank. It saves with the title only but loses attached file, template settings and shows a blank page. It then renders on the page with an access denied link and no attachment found.
I’ve deleted the plugin, downloaded it again and reinstalled it. All add-ons were disabled before installing 4.1.8 and had no issues before updating. Have added no new plugins or had any site changes prior to the update.
Can you please help?
Thank you
to activate lazy download , use lazy_download
column and value = 1 for all in your csv file. For link and page template, field names mentioned in example csv file.
I just noticed another thing. When you set package to “member downloads”, then if you click the download link without login it downloads a file called “permission-denied.txt”. This has a message saying “permission denied”.
Is this really the correct behavior or is it bugs?? It seems crazy!!
I have deleted [download_link] and now the message: “Download limit exceeded”
remove [download_link]
tag from page template
Hi Shaon,
I’m having this same issue with a custom theme. I can’t access the All Files page, its just a white screen. On the web pages I previously created and activated the download button, the download button has disappeared.
I tried accessing your link to the previous version of Download Manager and nothing comes up.
Thanks,
After adding download links to several posts without problems, it has happened again on this post:
http://www.globalgrey.co.uk/africa-volume-i-north-africa/
So, a random problem, but one that definitely needs fixing.
Shaon, What do you think? Here’s what my host provider found…
—- Host Provider Message Begins —–
We’ve dug into this further for you and upon extensive investigation I’ve discovered the cause of the issue.
Within the Staging site I tried creating a secondary sub-site for testing by cloning the main site over to a new sub-site. When loading the URL being requested however, everything worked as expected.
The cause of the issue is due to the ‘Link Template’ package being an option within All Packages > Link Template. By moving this item to the Trash, the remaining downloads display without any issues.
I’ve left this as-is on the Live site as I’m unsure of its exact utility in the Production environment, but you can see the effects of this on the Staging environment here: http://cef-wrc-wpengine-com.wrc.staging.wpengine.com/?wpdmtask=get_downloads&category=0
I would recommend reviewing the settings on the ‘Link Template’ page and perhaps adjusting them to different settings to prevent the issue in the future. Upon review, it looks like the package ID may be incorrect, per the contents of the package:
[wpdm_package id=3096 template="link-template-default-icon"]
[wpdm_package id=3059 template="link-template-default.php"]
Right now the two package Ids seem inconsistent. I’m unsure if this is intentional, However you may reach out to the Plugin developer directly to see if they’ve accounted for ‘Link Template’ being utilized within the Packages section.
—— Host Provider message ends ——-
Not sure what the package id has to do with archive shortcode when trying to display all in a file list…. Shaon, can you shed some light on this? What’s your take? I still get the “loading” icon on the live site.
Thanks I will try that.
Re Question 1:
[wpdm_tree download_link=1] causes this: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpdm_is_locked() in (…)/plugins/wpdm-extended-shortcodes/wpdm-extended-shortcodes.php on line 455
Re Question 3:
Which file do I need to modify to change [wpdm_package id="5374"] colour or font size?
[wpdm_tree download_link=1] should work fine, it will go to details page only for password protected files, otherwise download will start on click. If it is not working for you, I need to check it in your installation, please give me a temporary wp-admin login info in a private reply.
[wpdm_all_packages]
Yes, you can. filename wpdm-all-downloads.php
Yes, simply need to add css for specific classes as per your need.
