If you don’t want the download page, you can try the link template called default template (compact). It will not show the package information page. Kindly check and let me know

Here is the shortcode i am using [wpdm_all_packages items_per_page=10 jstable=1 order_by="update_date" order="DESC" cols="title|categories|download_link" colheads="Title|Categories|Download"]
We use the RSS feed facility of Download Manager for several of our sites. The current reader is based in ColdFusion, and works just fine, but we’re moving to a WordPress-based reader (Feedzy), and this sees the Download Manager feed as invalid. The error is:
Sorry, some part of this feed is currently unavailable or does not exist anymore. The detailed error is
https://sites.clarku.edu/business-docs/downloads/payroll-forms/feed/ is invalid XML, likely due to invalid characters.
XML error: EntityRef: expecting ‘;’ at line 188, column 288
Testing with https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi throws the error “Self reference doesn’t match document location“, and highlights the offending line:
<atom:link href="https://sites.clarku.edu/business-docs/downloads/payroll-forms/feed/" rel="self" type="application/rss+xml" />
We’re on the latest version of Download Manager Pro (6.5.3), and our WordPress version is 6.5.3. Is there any way to fix this?

HI,
Can you advise on how we can disable the singular and page link from the shortcode: [wpdm_all_packages]
I’ve found the code:
case ‘page_link’:
//echo “” . get_the_title() . “<br/>”;
echo “<span class=\”package-title\”>” . get_the_title() . “</span><br/>”;
break;
Which is on line: 345-348 in the file: /download-manager/src/Package/views/all-packages-shortcode.php
But i don’t like to modify plugin files as these will get updated over time and re-introduce the link.
Can you advise on the best way to do this please?

How to create a download page template that loads without the theme header? I have the download pages set to load within Woocommerce dashboard and when the link to the download package opens within the user dashboard it loads the header and menu again. How to disable that?
THanks.
Sorry for the delay. If you want to open a package or download-link in a new window, please use newwin=1 parameter in shortcode like this [wpdm_tree newwin=1]. Please check and let me know if it works for you.
Thank you and regards
Hello, Jan
I hope this message finds you well and thanks for contacting us.
– If you delete all files from Asset Manager, it will also affect the files on server.
– Currently, you can use the short-code or share links to share assets with others.
– You can check this plugin Advance Access Control. This will help you to control user-specific access to your files and document downloads.

I’m having an issue with the embedded links to a download. When I put the link to a download onto a post, it embeds it, however when you try and go to the download or click he download button, nothing happens and it doesn’t go to the Download page.
Below is the Chrome console errors when I click either of the links to go to the download page and I’ve included a post URL as an example:
Post Page with link to download page: https://techygeekshome.info/2024/04/java-8-411/
Download Page: https://techygeekshome.info/wpdm-package/java-8-update-411/

Link to download takes user to an error page: Your composer dependencies require a PHP version >8.1
PHP version of site is: 7.4.33
Can you download the plugin to a version that works with 7.4.33? This occurred after an automatic Download Manager update.

Since that post seemed to take, here’s the issue.
Hello,
When using the PDF Viewer Add-On in a template used in Packages by Category (Elementor), the following files get repeated for every button presented. It seems the code could be written to enqueue the scripts and CSS once which would have a significant impact on page performance. Is this something we can do on our own, or would this fix need done on your end?
wp-content/plugins/wpdm-pdf-viewer/pdfjs/web/viewer.css
wp-content/plugins/download-manager/assets/bootstrap/css/bootstrap.min.css
wp-content/plugins/download-manager/assets/css/front.min.css
https://use.fontawesome.com/releases/v6.2.0/css/all.css
wp-content/plugins/wpdm-pdf-viewer/pdfjs/build/pdf.js
wp-content/plugins/wpdm-pdf-viewer/pdfjs/web/viewer.js
wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js
wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.form.js
wp-content/plugins/wpdm-pdf-viewer/pdfjs/web/locale/locale.properties
Have 20 packages in a category and then call those files for all 20 packages is quite taxing.
Perhaps one option would be to enqueue the scripts as opposed to link to them within the HTML attributes in the code?
Look forward to your suggestions.
Apologies if this is a dupe, I’m not seeing it post to the forum.
Kind regards,
-Scott
Hello Humayon,
It seems the problem is that the Download Manager Root ‘File Browser Root:’ is wrong and is unable to use Bitnami’s Symbolic link to access wp-content.
Download manager is setting this to be: /opt/bitnami/wordpress/ when it should be /bitnami/wordpress/wp-content.
Please advise as to how we can change this URL so that we can get this working.
For context, the files are uploading to the directory but will not link together when you publish the download and becomes blank ever though the file exists.
Thanks.

Hello Fredrik Ålund,
Hope you are well. Thanks for writing to us. For your issue if you are using email lock for packages, please adjust properly the email template from Downloads > Templates > Email Templates > Email Lock Notification ( To: Customer ), thus it will not go to spam folder. And for your invalid download link issue, please adjust settings from Download > Settings > General > Private Download Link Expiration Period as I image attached,

please check and let me know, if you have any queries.
Thank you and regards
Since a couple of days the download link sent to customer that want to download our software doesn’t work in most cases. Most of the times it takes more than 10 minutes to receive the email and when it arrives the download link is invalid.
