WPDM 2.6 is very old version. We have moved to custom post type which was not available in version 2.6
Please use migration add-on to import packages to the new version. It also imports your old category. But sometimes package and links can not retrieved.

but what they download is a txt file. content inside is: Download Link is Expired. Please get New Download link.

I am creating a custom template. I have started by cloning another template. I have the template how I want it to look but need help making sure that functions are correct (as I just copy and pasted from a demo page on my site).
I have attached an image of my preview as well as the code for that preview.
My questions:
What are the functions that I need to call out for the password and download form in order to offer an instant download (open link to box.com) after the user enters the correct password?
Also: is there anywhere where we can see the CSS for the base elements? I see that this template is referencing different classes but how I can find out what is defined for those classes? I’d like to change a few colors as well.

Also how to change the “Download link” to redirect Packages same with the Title link?

– those are not static pages or anything, but google indexing those, so it’s rather a mentionable kind of problem. How can i deal with those?
I have a multisite. I have been using WPDM Pro on one subsite for quite some time. Decided to start using it on another site, that needs to also post downloadable content from the same “repository” of files.
So I activated it, and put in the same path to the file browser root.
Then I created a new download, by selecting from the browser. It seems fine, I added a description, etc. and then posted it.
Now when I use the permalink shown on the edit screen, I get a plain white screen with this error message:
Invalid File ID or File Name.
I also tried to put in my pro license key on the subsite, and it says it’s invalid, but I just paid up recently so it should be active. All the sites in my multisite are for the same company — they are not subsites owned by others, but the one I’m working on now does have a different mapped domain, if that makes any difference.
Any idea what’s up?

When here someone says, if this add-on will work with old attachments/links/downloads, we take it as, he is already using download manager and talking about the data he already added, but no problem, if you don’t need it, I shall ask financial section to cancel your purchase, please give me your order ID in a private reply.
For the form lock, it triggers download immediately, but if you want to email download link, you need to check Email Download Link option:

But there is nothing in the post about changing the format or adding css.
I just need one solid example of how the css gets defined in the tempalte.
Or a list of the css tags to change for a template.
Do I just drop in new css definitions into the the top of the tempalte and add my own tags?

I have created 21 download packages.
I have the WPDM – Extended Short-codes plugin installed and I’m using the shortcode: [wpdm_packages template="link-template-default-icon" item_per_page="30"]
But only 10 items show on the page.
I’ve even set Blog pages show at most posts to 100.
What am I missing?

I see that it is not possible, but I do want to have custom data displayed which include: custom taxonomies, custom column in the download table to display the language of the file, add a favourite button using the favoriteposts.com plugin and adding a video preview to all the video’s downloads which are hosted on Vimeo. How would I go about this when I can not use normal PHP? It can’t be that I am the only one who wants this?
Can I create some sort of function and load that using your weird shortcode method?

You can select link/page template when you editing a package, also you can specify link template with short-code. Use the following add-on to generate shortcodes:

In the download item, I can select the link template. I made some own ones. Where I can ind them in database or filesystem.
The button will appear if your use [download_link] tag in your link/page template.
Please clone the current link template you are using and add publish date tag in that link template, finally save as new link template, now use the new link template with your shortcode. Template Docs:
