It is strange, I see the page like this:
View post on imgur.com
and single or full download, all downloads are working fine for me.
Hi Everyone,
I have just installed the pro-version. I have locked downloads by email. When I click on download I get the pop-up to enter name/email after which the message that a download link has been sent to my email is displayed. When I checked the subscriber list nothing has been logged and in most cases no email is received. I have tested with different emails and its only yahoo and one webmail that the emails were actually received.
Anyone with similar experience? How did you resolve it?
Thanks for your help.

Hello, Is there anyway to sort downloads using the tree view short code? I would like to have them sorted alphabetically. Thanks!
I see… Did you do anything for that to work?
*** Also I noticed that from frontend, users have only 2 options for file upload – Drag and Drop and Direct URL. Why is this so? What of the other options like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.
*** How do I make it that when a user uses the drag and drop, it goes to a different file storage, maybe on a subdomain or cloud storage because if I allow them now, it will fill up my hosting storage space
*** I notice also that when more than one file is uploaded, and you try downloading, it downloads and empty zipped file… and the option to download files individually doesn’t work. Please help. Your login still remains.
Thanks.

It may happen for few reasons:
- If your server doesn’t support output buffering
Solution: In this case you need to disable output buffering and resumable download from Admin Menu Downloads Settings Basic
- If any other plugin generating any unexpected output
Solution: You need to try disabling other plugins
- if #1 or #2 doesn’t resolve your issue, I need to check it in your installation.

When I open a package to view the files, I have it set to allow single file downloads. I would like to disable the download link to download the entire package and just allow one download at a time. Is this possible?
Thank you.
Hi, thanks for your appreciation.
You don’t need membership add-on there. When creating/editing a category, you can select user roles to allow access to that category, and when creating/editing a package, if you select any such category and keep access field under package settings empty, only the users under selected roles for the category will have access to the package.
You can to use short-code to embed packages/downloads in page, and you can use this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-tinymce-button/ to generate short-code.
Please let me know if still anything is not clear there 🙂
Hi there,
Great plugin but I’ve had a play around and need some assistance with achieving what I need to do.
- I have a number of documents across 3 different categories.
- All downloads are only accessible by users who are approved members of the website.
- Each user needs to be given permission to access any 1, 2 or all 3 categories.
- As each user is logged into the website they then need to be able to view and download the files from the categories they are approved for.
Do I need to integrate a membership plugin with this (and if so what do you recommend), or can I use the built in WordPress user roles for this?
How are the download pages built? I am using a theme with the Visual Composer plugin.
Thanks in advance for your help, and let me know if you need any clarification in order to respond.

Hi,
Download count seems very abnormally high for certain downloads. I have received certain downloads moving from 0 downloads to 24000 downloads in a span of two days and others moving from 14000 to as high as almost 100000 in a span of 4 days as seen here; http://unhabitat.org/books/international-guidelines-on-urban-and-territorial-planning/
Almost those downloads come from our own IP which does not make sense and has even made our IP to be blocked from accessing the back-end of our website due to high traffic requests.
Could you kindly advice what is no right?
We are using version 4.3.0 of the download manager.
Any quick assistance would highly be appreciated.
Kind regards,
Erick
You need to install wpdmpp-2co.zip
to add 2checkout, then you will be able to configure it form Admin Menu Downloads Settings Premium Packages Payment Settings Tab.
Hi!
The content is not appearing on any of my website pages that use the category shortcode generated by the TinyMCE button (recently updated as suggested above) or the category shortcode provided on your website. Also, on these pages, the admin nav bar at top of the site is missing. I’ve updated and reinstalled the plug-in and add-ons but nothing is working to show the category downloads. Suggestions?
Thanks!

Yes, [wpdm_my_downloads login=1]
only show the packages explicitly assigned to him.
But please give me url where you trying short-code [wpdm-all-packages]
and temporary wp-admin login info in a private reply.
[wpdm_my_downloads login=1] only lists the ones provided explicitly to him via custom named access, but doesnt show the packages available to him be virtue of his user role,
and when logged in the shortcode [wpdm-all-packages] only shows those avaiable due to his user role and not those he is named on.
I have a PDF file designated to a specific user using Download Manager Pro and Custom Access Level.
On my website, when someone clicks a link to a PDF, it typically opens up as a new web page. However, when they click a link to the protected PDF, it downloads instead of open.
Is it possible to change this behavior?
Thanks
Hi guys,
I notice that all the downloads subscribe to the same mailchimp list.
Is there anyway to send the package name or ID to mailchimp (perhaps as a seperate field)?
This would allow me to setup email automation based on what was downloaded.
(Instead of generic automation rules, which it gets limited to without any package information).
Cheers,
Kameel
ok, got it, compact view is actually will be available from next update, but if you want to get it now, please give me ftp access to plugins dir.
“Regarding the point 1, why I can’t use the template settings on the downloads manager settings?” <– Sorry, not clear

I saw that the old version 4.1.3 had the ability to have a thumbnail generated from a PDF in the link template using [pdf_thumb_WxH]
http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/wordpress-download-manager-pro-v4-1-3-released
This feature does not appear in my current version 4.3.0. I need this as all of my downloads are PDF’s. How can we use this feature?
I am currently inserting a JPG in the body area as a thumbnail, but also need it in the link template – can we link to this?
Thanks
