Quick question. Is there any coding to allow for a horizontal scroll without page refresh? I didn’t have the best luck with the carousel, plus I am more interested in maintaining the clean formatting of the downloads page. If not, perhaps a feature request for the future? Thanks for letting me know either way, have a good weekend!
Hi,
I purchased the wpdm-pdf-stamper plugin and installed in my website. But not getting the PDF Stampers tab anywhere. Can anyone help me to get this link in the admin panel. As per https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/wpdm-pdf-stamper link suggest to go in the Downloads then admin panel settings and the click on PDF Stampers. But not found it anywhere.
Please have a look of attached screenshot of my website admin panel installed plugin and menus.
Hi Ricardo, Looks like some there is still old text domain in Advanced Access Control add-on. We are updating it soon. For now, You can replace all instances of wpdmpro in /plugins/wpdm-custom-access-level/wpdm-my-downloads.php file with download-manager. That will fix the issue.
Download Manager has support for both versions of Bootstrap. You can use version 3 or 4, Even If you want you can completely disable WPDM Bootstrap. All these options are available in Downloads Settings Basic Misc Settings Panel.
If your theme or another plugin loading Bootstrap then just disable the WPDM bootstrap to resolve the conflict issue.
I’m using the pop link with the [file_list] shortcode included into my downloads. The problem is that when the package is too big, all the old downloads cannot be access due the scrolling bar doesn’t bar.
Having conflict issues with your plugin. According to one developer, the issue is an out of date Bootstrap Lib.
Details:
On further investigation we have found the cause – you are using a plugin ‘Download Manager’ – this one
In that plugin they are using a very old version of the bootstrap lib – it is version 3.3.4 which is over 3 years old. In February this year Bootstrap Released its all new v 4.0.0 and is now up to v 4.1.1 – Prior to the release of 4.0.0 the current version was 3.7.0
The long and the short of it is that Bootstrap 4.0 + is not compatible with any previous version – that is why the Email inquiry Pop up cannot open. You will see if you deactivate the Downloads Manager and clear the cache the pop up will work fine.
We did not release the Bootstrap modal pop up in this version of Email Inquiry Ultimate – it was released in Version 2.4.0 of Quotes and Orders
= 2.4.0 – 2018/06/14 =
* Major Upgrade. V2.4 is a massive step forward in the plugins development with 7 new features, new pop up tool, introduction of templating and multiple coding standard enhancements. Compatibility with WooCommerce 3.4.2.
John I would suggest that you post a support request with the plugins developer requesting that they update the Bootsrap lib in the plugin to the current version 4.1.1.
I did not manually delete the templates in Downloads > Templates. I did nothing to cause them to be removed from the database options table either. Because I needed this fixed quickly, I had to rebuild new custom templates and then reassign them one at a time to all 91 of our packages. I don’t know when this issue occurred and since my site backup with the custom templates intact is several months old, I can’t easily restore directly from that backup since we have a WooCommerce store with many orders that have come in since then. We had 3 custom templates that disappeared.
Also, I see that WPDM 4.7.7 is now available but the automatic update within WordPress is again not working. I thought that this issue had been resolved since the last update came out but apparently not. My WPDM Pro license is current and active. See attached screenshot.
Download Manager Custom link and page templates are saved in the database ( options table ) when you are creating the templates from Downloads Templates page.
So templates can be lost only if the _fm_link_templates and _fm_page_templates options are erased. There is no possibility of this happening without manually deleting all custom templates from Downloads Templates page.
Are your staging and live site identical? I mean did you copy the live site from staging? In that case, you can copy the options from the staging site to bring back custom templates.
How many custom templates did you have? If you have custom templates ID and code it is possible to restore those by editing database. But requires some time to re-create the format.
We want to show all downloads from one category on one page with preview images.
Our downloads are only images (HI-RES) and we want to show our customers the complete category in a table format.
Preview Image, Download Size, Download Button
Thats it.
How do we do this?
I have linked to the category in our main menu, but it does not look nice. I also dont understand how to edit this category view.
Any help would be appreciated.
THX
PS: I have attached a screenshot from our current category view.
It is very time intensive to add one download after another.
How can we copy one download that has all the settings we need ??
We just need to copy the download and replace the file within.
Any info on this?
No option to show all downloads in user dashboard. Code customization is required to implement this feature.
Please take a look at Archive Page add-on https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/archive-page-default/ It has category filtering feature. Archive Page has some other views too, check all views in Directory Add-on menu dropdown. You can use shortcodes to show these views anywhere you want.
Yes, you can control which columns to show for the [wpdm_all_packages] shortcode.
Here is the shortcode: [wpdm-all-packages items_per_page="20" jstable=1 order_by="date" order="DESC" cols="title|post_content|package_size|download_link" colheads="Title|Description|Size|Download"]
Now, let’s discuss the admin features you want. Using WPDM Frontend uploader the admin ( your client ) can upload and manage packages without going to the admin area.
From your previous replies, I think you need the following extra features, let me know if there is anything else.
1 ) View subscribers list
2 ) View download statistics
We can build these for you as a custom upgrade service. I will let you know how to proceed with customization after getting your reply on this ticket.
DISCARD THIS MESSAGE I ALREADY FOUND OUT HOW TO FIX IT IN SETTINGS.
Hello there
We have changed our site’s login URL in WordPress and now all protected downloads show the old login page when an unregistered user attempts to download a protected file.
How do I make the plugin update the download link to show the new login URL in WordPress?
Thanks in advance.
WPDM ist mostly working with WPML, but not 100% correct.
1. Not all categories will be translated (displayed on the frontend)
2. The Widget (Newest Downloads – others I doesn’t have tested) isn’t working with WPML. The translated files won’t be displayed.
Otherwise it will be really great, if WPDM will become 100% compatible with WPML.
@Shariar: Is it possible, that you take part on the Go-Global Programm of WPML, to become 100% compatible between WPDM and WPML? https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/
