Hello,
I upgraded to 2.7.6 of the Amazon S3 Plugin and have been unable to use the S3 feature at all.
When in the wordpress admin Downloads –> Amazon S3, I get this error in the console:
/admin-ajax.php?action=awsBuckets:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)The S3 Buckets never show.
I’ve tried disabling + deleting + re-installing the plugin without any success.
I’ve also verified that plugin permissions are 755
Thank you for any guidance on resolving this issue.

It is pretty simple, What you are trying to do. Just allow the role frontend uploader access from Downloads > Settings > Frontend Access The user from the allowed role will be able to add/edit their own file from the frontend. Create the frontend page using

Export your packages ( downloads ) using the WordPress Export Tool. You will get an XML file.
Then move your files from old
/uploads/download-manager-files/directory to the new server’s/uploads/download-manager-files/directory .In your new site Import the XML file. Now all downloads should work fine on the new site.

Installed version 4.9.3 Single downloads are working now.
I see the Fastest Cache is active there. But there is no issue with the download. So, it seems both plugins are working fine together.

I have created a custom role called that I would like to give the ability to add their own downloads, but I do not want them to be able to post to the blog or use anything except for the Download Manager main functions of adding packages. I used to be able to do this, but for some reason now the users cannot see the Downloads and if they can see it they have no privledges to add or edit downloads they already created (back when it worked).
Thoughts?

I’m trying to use [wpdm_all_packages] which works until I click on a category. IF I click on a category it lists them BUT if there are more than 1 page of downloads for a specific category it says there are non.
ex. https://www.bluestreakequipment.com/magnetic-product-literature/
Click Assembly Instructions for the category. 20 list. There should be 26
Click for page 2 or next. You will see there are non found. There should be 6 more.Is this a glitch or have I done something wrong?
In reply to: Downloads not counted after site migration
On the same session, multiple downloads of the same pacakge are counted as a single download. Logging such downloads create redundancy in the record. That’s why those are ignored. But the initial download is logged as it should.
Also, try downloading the package again after a few minutes of initial download. If the limit is set to 1 / user you won’t be able to download the package. Because in a new session download will be counted again.

Sorry about the naming confusion. Archive Page and Directory add-on refers to the same add-on.
From now on you can do do the automatic update. Login to your WPDM account from Downloads Settings Updates page to allow automatic update.
Topic: Larger downloads always fail
Hi,
While smaller files < 100MB seem to download file, larger files ~6GB always fail.
We are using the dropbox plugin and I’m doubtful that the issue is with dropbox servers.The issue is prevalent on multiple systems and OS’s.
Any thoughts are much appreciated.

We haven’t changed anything related to roles. If you want other users to create pacakge then use the frontend uploader. Set the allowed user roles from Downloads Settings Frontend Access page.
How did your custom role users create downloads before?

I found it as “WPDM Directory Add-on ” and not “WPDM – Archive Page add-on” on the downloads page. This plugin is difficult to deal with since it doesn’t update automatically. I’ve had to uninstall, delete, then upload the zip. Pretty inconvenient and time consuming when the naming is inconsistent too.

In WP Plugins, I have the following messages displayed for Download Manager:
There is a new version of Download Manager available. View version 4.9.8 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin.
Please activate Download Manager license for automatic update. Validate license key
I have a current License that renewed in May, 2019. When I click on the Validate license link, it takes me to the Downloads > License and the current License Key is already there.
How do I update DM? Does it have to be done manually? Why is it prompting me to Validate license?

Your server is blocking the AJAx request sent by WPDM after password submission. It responses with 403 code with the following message.
“Request unsuccessful. Incapsula incident ID: 957000990079771743-199536874895509042”
Please ask your server support to allow the request.

So, you do not want users to signup on your site. Just want to list them in Downloads Subscribers page and after your approval you want the user to have access to the file.
You have to enable email with ” Wait For Approval” option to do that. I have set this up for this package http://zgemma.org.uk/download/backup-softu-openatv-6-2-zgemma-h9-2s/ You have to repeat the setting for all other packages.

I checked and the Private Download Links Usage Limit was set to 3 – I increased it to 300 and it still gives the same message.
In any case, you get the same problem if you try to download the file from our normal downloads page “downloads.acfconsultants.com”, and the problem arises with all previous files too.
Please can you send me a link to download the previous version 4.9.7 (Pro) until the issue is resolved?

Hi I think It is posted.
you need to follow the following steps after you update to v2.7 from v2.6:Go to Admin Menu Downloads Settings Migrate tab
You will see all files you created with v2.6
Now select around 20-30 files at a time
And click “Save Settings” button
Continue the process for all of the files there
So you have migrated all data from v2.6 to v2.7

Edit regarding the “send download link.” The link is valid and allows the download basically if you look at it immediately. Although it allows a usage limit of 3 and expiration after 60 minutes. Not sure if that issue is related or not.

I have the plugins required. I also have the Crypto theme. I’d like to continue using Astra, but have my site downloads page look “exactly” like the demo.
How can this be done?

Today i updated to WPDM 4.9.8 and suddenly my site experienced issues, the archive shortcodes stopped working and at the same time i was locked out of my backend. Only removing the archive plugin via ftp let’s me back in.
The server log displays this:
