For the website ((www.psiseating.co.uk/test) which has the with the Downloadmanager pro I’ve logged onto the FTP control panel and located the downloads folder.
The main folder has permission 755
Inside, the folder there is no .htaccess file if this is a problem?

On my other website which i am having problems downloading any of the downloadable files (using your free version) test.mukl.com
There is a downloads file with permission 755 in the FTP control panel
Inside the folder there is .htaccess file.
When you view the .htaccess file it says
text/x-generic .htaccess
ASCII text

RewriteEngine On

Deny from all

Is this one of the issues?

That should really be listed somewhere when initially purchasing the product as I am pretty sure the support pages show a directory page.. makes it seem like it comes with that functionality… hate finding out I need to pay for things I thought I was getting after the fact….

As for my other post I am still getting a problem if I activate Calendarize It, The Other Plugins have been replaced with ones that seem to not be affected as to where Downloads sits on the Dashboard, but if you activate Calendarize It you will see that it will not appear, until Download Manager Pro is deactivated…

But more importantly I would like to know why:

1. The Download Links do not appear at all.
2. Why does it take me to a second page, which I do not want, I just want someone to select the link that they want and then be able to download it without this second page appearing!

Here’s an example:

In the back-end of the site, the URL listed for this package is: http://www.onelittlebirddesigns.com/download/cut-out-like-me-inner-shadow-styles

But on the front-end, that package is linked as: http://www.onelittlebirddesigns.com/cms/download/cut-out-like-me-inner-shadow-styles/

That link goes to nowhere, on account of the /cms/ directory being inserted into the generated URL – which shouldn’t be there. The link in the back-end is the correct one.

I assume it’s also the reason why none of the custom templates (or even the default ones) will load and all my pages render with a standard template. It’s probably NOT looking into the /cms/ subdirectory, which is where the plug-in is stored?

You’ll see that it’s also inserting the /cms/ directory into the generated download link: http://www.onelittlebirddesigns.com/cms/?wpdmdl=14

It should be: http://www.onelittlebirddesigns.com/?wpdmdl=14

Both of them actually work for reaching the download, the problem is that the incorrect one takes longer to load, and also I don’t want that subdirectory displayed in any links on my site.

OK I have been able to also see that the Addons in the special gift pack are not showing up either. This is a weird issue, because i am able to get the free version in the WP Repo to work flawlessly.

To elaborate a bit more:
I am using WordPress 3.5, with multi-site (directories) enabled. This is the only site on the network, and I have super admin role/capabilities.

Once the plugin is installed, and network activated, I am able to see the “Downloads” menu item it in the ‘sub-site’. But the plugin does not show up in the “plugins” section.

This kinda makes sense though if the issue is in-fact some weird permissions thing

Update: OK, Things seem to be downloading fine now (strange) so that bits fixed.

Am I able to just display the folders in the tree view without all the documents underneath too. All the documents are in categories but for some reason show in the category list as well as underneath the folder structure

already did that Shaon, the base url slugs are “downloads” and “download”.
I have a page called downloads, but still somehow the “wpdmpro” page pops up, without anything in it. I have defined two categories that do not show up on that page.

I would like the category page to contain more extensive description for all the downloads in that category.

But wont this remove it from all lists that I use, and as I have used the ‘dot’ for lists on my site which i need. At a push I can put up with the ‘dot’ its a little annoying, but the main issue is that the icon are not appearing???
