Hi i need the download to open in a new page which shows some details about the downloads and then the download starts automatically
1) User clicks on the Download Button
2) It takes them to an other page which shows ( The download should start shortly.)
3) After a few seconds the download automatically BeginsOr can we give a lazy load in the product page itself instead of the user redirecting to another page, im even ok with this
Can this be achieved if yes, please guide me

I have WPDM Pro installed on my site v4.6.8 and upgraded through the plugin to the latest version (v4.6.9). However as soon as the update is complete, the “Downloads” menu item disappears and all functionality is gone. Fortunately I have been able to restore it by adding the plugin again, but it has happened several times now and is concerning because my clients can’t access their documents without it.
WPDM seems to work normally when I leave it at v4.6.8.Topic: Manual Download Approval
I have seen this as a feature request on older posts, but nothing current. Is there a way to manually approve downloads? Here is how I would like it to work:
1. New user fills out a form providing information such as name, email, company, phone, etc.
2. An assigned administrator recieves an email that a user has requested access. This email will contain the information that the user filled out on the form and a link to approve the request.
3. Once the request is approved, and email will go out to the user who requested access with a download link.Is this possible with any combination of add-ons or third party plugins?

I’m thinking to use another way, but I don’t know how to identify that it’s a download page (from wpdm).
The idea is simple. I want to see if it’s a download page, if so, I’ll change the breadcrumb. If not, it remains the same.My single.php has it inside:

Topic: How to install the language?
Hello guys. Even with the free version and now with the pro version, I can’t find a way to translate my wpdm to my language. Every other plugin is ready and translated, the “downloads” session of my site is the last one I’m working on, to start with the site, but I can’t translate wpdm in any way.
I’m trying to use this file name (when using the free version it was download-manager-pt_BR.po/mo):
wpdmpro-pt_BR.po/moAnd I sent it inside the folders:
/public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/languages/
/public_html/wp-content/languages/
/public_html/wp-content/languages/plugins/No one worked.
So I installed the loco translator to see what does it say, and it shows my 100% translated file there (it’s syncronized already), as wpdmpro-pt_BR.po (it also shows German, Italian and Spanish – that are inside wp-content/plugins/download-manager/languages/ ):

None of my downloads are working in any browser except Chrome! If users attempt to download using Firefox or another browser they receive a notification that the download link has expired. I´ve attached screenshots of the message. I have not set any expiration date or any kind of download limit on any of my packages. I´ve tested it myself in a number of browsers, and it´s the same issue. I´m launching a marketing promotion TOMORROW and need users to be able to download the material!! PLEASE can you help resolve this issue!I have set up package settings Allow Access to subscribers.

I’m building a tour company website and I want to add a download link – Download Itinerary – to each of the tour pages which users can download if they login or register e.g. they click on link asking them to login/register to download and are then redirected back to page where download link is now available or something similar.
At the moment, when user logs in/registers using [wpdm_login_form] or [wpdm_reg_form] shortcodes, they are then asked to Go to Dashboard, but once they get to the dashboard ([wpdm_user_dashboard]), they then have to manually navigate back to the page with the file they want to download (see screenshot attached) which is not intuitive. Is that correct?
Also, on the Dashboard page, the Download History, Edit Profile and Logout links lead to 404 pages.
Finally, is it possible to use the Google Drive add-on to host my downloads and still protect files initially by making users log in or register?

Hi, I just did an update and now I am unable to access via Admin on either the ‘Downloads’ link, ‘All Packages or ‘Add new’ – I just get a ‘Invalid Post Type’ error.

Hi! I need some help. I had an ad running but the content of my page disappeared. When I clicked into the product download page, it was totally blank. Not even my header showed up. None of my other downloads had the issue, just the one. Can you give some kind of explanation? I saw somehting in the forums about it happening to someone else, but there was no response.

I have a big problem. The update from WPDM 4.6.4 to 4.6.8 leads me to a crash of WPDM. WPDM is no longer visible in the left sidebar.
If I want to make the update, I go like this:
I go to the menu item “Downloads” and “Settings” on the left sidebar. There I click on the menu point “Updates”. After my registration I am informed that I can update from version 4.6.4 to 4.6.8. When I click on the “Update” button, the update is performed. When I call the page again, I get the message “Invalid content type.”. The WPDM has then disappeared from the left side menu.
How can I update without crash?

HolgerIf you are indicating the use of the same package in different pages and posts, then you just have to change the package data ( From Edit package page ). No need to go through all pages where you have put the shortcodes.
There is an option in Downloads Settings Basic Upload Settings to overwrite old files when uploading a new file. If a file with the same name already exists then it will be overwritten by the new file.

I have updated the latest version now:
1. My translations from generated po file disappeared when I updated, so I had to upload these again. Is this normal? (
2. I use the link Call to action 3 but in the browser it does not show the filename, size and downloads as in the template prewiew.

Your downloads and settings are still there. After activation, all old downloads will work as usual.
I just updated the plugin as directed by Download Manager, and the plugin has just totally disappeared from my WordPress!! I need this issue resolved as soon as possible – I use download manager for all of the downloads on my site!!
I updated to the latest version (2.9.54), and since then, the downloads have stopped working. I have shortcodes on the page, and when clicking on the download link, the site returns a 500 server error.
I turned on WP debugging and got the following:

Hello,
I was wondering, on the user profiles where all the downloads are it looks like the banner just above the Downloads and Favorites buttons is user specific so everyone can change their own banner, logo, etc. When we initially load up the page the color of the banner is a shade of purple, is there any way to change the color of that to a different default color? Or is there a way to change that banner globally so everyone sees the same thing when they load the page up? I loaded an attachment to attempt to avoid confusion if my explanation isn’t up to par.

Okay, thank you, that did work. I set the wpdm_download_link_expiration_limit to 1 in the plock if block.
I would have sworn I tried it with success more than 3 times before, but I must be mistaken since now it only allows 1 time, even if the same user copies the link URL and pastes in a new browser tab.
I can’t expect buyers of my software to register as a user on my site, and I also didn’t want to limit the downloads that 1 person supplying the proper password could download.
I will admit that I got a bit upset here at first, thinking I had purchased a plugin which seemed useless to me. But I am glad you responded with this workaround, and quite promptly I should not hesitate to add.
