Thanks for the purchase.
1 ) If you want to show packages from a specific category then use category shortcode. Please install TinyMCE add-on to insert shortcode easily.
2 ) You can check download history from Downloads Stats Downloads History tab. To check user specific stats click on ‘Download Stats’ under username is All Users page.

Topic: Local Cart Quantity to One
Hi
Using the free version of the plugin and the ‘Premium Package – WordPress Digital Store Solution’ (free) that allows digital checkout, is there a way to prevent the download quantity wheel so that the user can’t accidentally increase the count to 2, or 3 or 4 etc when all he is paying is one file? If so, how please? What setting? (I am not referring to allowing or preventing single downloads of a package that contains several files. I am referring to downloading one zip file from one package and not having the cart being able to increase it from 1).
If not, how can it be done?

Sice I installed the latest version the website lags very much, especially on the pages with links to downloads (but also on the backend). About 1 minute to open pages!Thank you in advance

On the frontend, you can edit/manage only packages created by you. But you can, of course, download files created by others.
You can view the package by clicking ‘View’ link from ‘All packages’ admin page. If you want to show all packages then use
[wpdm-all-packages]shortcode to list all downloads in a tabular format.In reply to: Order_By –> Linkname
Do you mean sort by package/download name?
You can add

I’m already using the all packages shortcode, but clicking on the category to filter I find it unintuitive. The shortcode already has a top selction filter to filter the amount of downloads shown on the table. I would like another dropdown selector for the categories. Is it possible to edit javascript like the link that I sent to work with wpdm?

I am not sure how downloads on your “Resource Library” working. Because there is no
/uploads/download-manager-files/dir in your installation ( https://www.evernote.com/shard/s238/sh/7c879425-f360-4bd7-b229-4dbb9b02ba52/1de995f3758253e7 )Did you attach URL or directory on these packages instead of uploading files?
Please deactivate and then reactivate Download Manager. That might create the
/uploads/download-manager-files/dir. If it doesn’t please ask your server support to check the issue. This can be solved by changing server settings. Just inform them, WPDM can’t create a directory in uploads dir.If you want us to look into your installation please send temporary wp-admin login info in private reply.

I am configuring my downloads area to enable the user to buy a file. I have configured the settings etc and added the free “Premium Package” and enabled the Free Addons ‘WPDM Extended Short-codes’ and ‘Premium Package – WordPress Digital Store Solution’. I have enabled, for now, Paypal and “testPay”. as means of payment. I obviously want to try it out while I build the site with Test Pay
Everything seems to work OK when I create the new package with a test file and I can navigate to it, click “Add to Cart”, it shows me the price, and then I checkout. After checkout I get shown the “Thank you” page that I have also customised for my users. However, no download actually takes place. I am worried that when I make the site live with PayPal, users will pay but get no download.
Is that because I am using Test Pay? Is Test Pay set not to actually conduct the download? Or should the file still download even when using Test Pay? If so, what might I have done wrong?
Or, do I need to buy something additional in order for the download to take place? So far, I only have the free edition installed, and the free Premium Package.

Please check allowed user roles settings from Downloads Settings Frontend Tab. Maybe the option is not set yet. If you activate the frontend access each user can see and edit their own packages.

Is there a way to show a gallery grid, where each package shown has a checkbox, then there is a select all option to check all boxes and download all which downloads all checked items?

There is an
order_byparameter in archive shortcode. You have to use that to show latest packages initially. Sorry for all the confusions above.
Some things like menu item color or navigation/pagination can’t be controlled by Archive Page in this case. Because these things are controlled by your theme. The template (
archive.php) you created is a core WP template ( usually provided with the theme ). It doesn’t have any use with Directory add-on functionalities.When you are clicking the category ( from archive category shortcode page ) it just pointing you to the category archive page which is rendered by your theme.
Using the Archive Page Sidebar view is the best solution for your use case,
1 ) It will keep the Downloads menu always active.
2 ) Sidebar view has built-in pagination to track parent-child relation.

Please read accurate what I´m writing to you.
- I do NOT want to color the default theme title in black. Instead I want to color the DOWNLOADS menu item in black, as the black color is the active state for the menu.
- The
/plugins/download-manager/tpls/wpdm-category.phpis not been used at all. I can change in this file whatever I want and nothing happens. - I need to add the name of the category as title into the view
List-of-files-in-category.jpgabove the list of files. This view is using thearchive.phptemplate for any reason and no specific wpdm template. How can I change this AND how can I add the name of the category as title?

First of all, I have tested all way, in the package setting the package is visible to all visitor. but it seems like without login the page is not accessible, it redirects to login page.
Do you have any PHP error log on the server?
There is a security access which checks the admin role to load the pdf file maybe.

Hey,
I attached three files.
- Categories-view.jpg: You can see the view of the categories. I did this by the following tag
[wpdm-categories cols=4] - List-of-categories.jpg: These are the categories you can see in the first screenshot but defined in the backend
- List-of-files-in-category.jpg: If you click on one category as you see in the first screenshot, you get a list of all files in that category
What I want to change is that template of the List-of-files-in-category.jpg screenshot. As described in the posts before, I was able to change this template by adding a file
archive.phpinto the active-template-folder. But this is not pretty nice, as thearchive.phpis been used by wordpress also for other pages.In this view I need:
- The menu item DOWNLOADS needs to be colored in black as it is still the active navigation point, but even if the URL is
/downloads/hotfixes-und-patches/, in the menu the navigation point is not set as active one - On that page there should be a headline with the name of the category, where files belong to. (In this case it would be Hotfixes and Patches)

A quick observation – it would be great if in the downloads area it showed you the domain against each product. When you’ve a few managing licenses and renewals becomes a bit of a pain. I’ve seen somewhere else do that really well and it’s very helpful (WP Rocket I think).

Hi Team,
We are facing an issue in the following known sections:
– Membership Items i.e Subscription Download Area
– Download HistoryCurrently, there is no pagination here which is a basic necessity here as it tries to list all the downloads on a single page for the users which is causing the page to load slowly or sometimes break the execution limit.
Please implement a pagination for these sections and also the other parts of the WPDM layout wherever it tries to load all the download or packages on a single page.

Hi everyone.
I imported a lot of files with bulk import, and now I see that all user can access to this files with the link (when the site have to show the login form.)
In the settings I selected File Browser Access only for register user.
I need to hide the downloads!
I have more of 400 file uploaded.
Can i restrict the packages to all the visitors?Thanks
