The issue appears to be with CSS and the use ‘col-md-X’ of several plugins, however i don’t want to spend all day finding and editing code that should already be correct.
After almost $200 spent here i’m finding that your documentation is quite poor.
I am looking for a way to show the downloaded items for a visitor. The problem is that I could not use the downloadmanager signup (I am using a different registration plugin that allows for manual account approvals.) The plugin creates a WordPress account with Subscriber role. Downloads are email locked. However, since no actual account exists, the downloadmanager shortcode does not show the downloads for the subscriber. Is there any way to get this to work?
2 ) Swift doesn’t support the additional previews yet. Will add this in next version. But can use the WPDM Page Template add-on which will allow you to use any Page Template from Downloads Templates page.
One of your plugins is creating the JS error which is blocking the download operation. We can bypass it using a custom link template. Please install the Pro version of Download Manager and then you can create custom link template from Downloads Templates page. Or just let me know after installing Pro. I will create the template for you.
1 ) Download Manager uses the active theme’s single.php template to show the details page. The single.php controls the layout but using WPDM Page template you can control the view of package-related content. In each package settings, you will find an option to set the page template. All WPDM Page Templates are listed in Downloads Templates page and you can create your own template.
If you want to control the layout too, then create a template file named single-wpdmpro.php and place it in your theme directory. This is the WP Core level template that will be used to show WPDM packages. You can copy the single.php and remove the parts ( comment reply, sidebar, etc ) you don’t need.
2 ) I have to check your page to suggest custom CSS. Maybe the styling is coming from your theme.
I’m having an issue with both .doc and .docx files. I’m not entirely sure why.
I’ve tried updating the files, I’ve tried creating a new package. I’ve tried searching in the forum and can’t find anything specifically related to these types of files as downloads. We largely offer pdf’s. But there are a few word doc’s we offer. They’re all having issues.
When I include a package that has a .doc or .docx file init, it kills the section of the page that has the template in it.
I have created a new Administrator for our Multi Site – but the WPDM Pro items are not showing in the Appearance > Menus for him to be able to add categories / downloads to the menu.
I have used “User Role Editor” to tick all capabilities for administrator. He has the exact same privileges as me as a Super Admin, but cannot edit the menu items where I can.
Hello everybody,
I’m looking for some infos about csv bulk import mapping.
I’m using WPDM Pro, with Advanced CSV Import. I download and fill each field of sample .csv, I upload it to >CSV importer, and I get the screen about mapping fields.
I cannot understand how I have to map some fields (not the custom ones, but standards).
As example, I cannot import downloads’ category. What is the correct field? post_category does not work, and I don’t have such an option as WPDM:_category or similar.
Same error on some other fields, as file_titles and so on…
I send you attached the screenshot with the field I can’t map correctly (red underlined), and all the available fields in the select menu…
Could you please help me in mapping them correctly?
hello, I recently updated the plugin archive page, and after that I found two errors on my website, please I need urgent help.
The first one is this, now the categories are shown on the left side and not on top.
The second error and more serious in my case is that I have multiple file downloads, with the option to download individually or all the files together, (http://www.mesoamericaregion.org/package/escuela-biblica-de-vacaciones-ebv-valor/) but in the / wp-content / uploads / download-manager-files folder they are creating .zip files large, over 800 MB (that’s the sum of the size of all files) and fill my server.
I am running WordPress Version: 5.1.1 & just recently upgraded to: Download Manager Version 2.9.94
Just recognized a problem after updating my Download Manager version. Any download on my website that contains a CAPCHA before the download takes place will now fail to download. the URL returns the message: p=425#locked. If I remove the CAPCHA from the Downloadable file the download will work. There appears to be a problem with this version of Download Manager and the Latest Version of WordPress. Any help would be much appreciated as almost all my files at my site require the user to complete the CAPCHA before they can download the files.
P.S When the download button becomes available after successfully completing the CAPCHA the download button refuses to start the download and the URL returns locked after the file as shown above. There are no other visible signs that the download is not working other than the download button doesn’t trigger the download
We are using Enfold theme but the login page is not allowing a slider we want to add at the top that goes under the logo (so that the logo and navigation will show). This works on the register page and dashboard page, just not the login page.
Hi,
It is because you are not using the latest version of the file download-manager/tpls/wpdm-all-downloads.php, probably, you are using a customized copy, however, if you want to use the latest version of that file, please download the latest version from premium download are and replace that file or all.
I followed the instructions för List all downloads in … but even if I copy the code it is still the same with Creation date. I have tested with jstable.1 as well…
All users from the same IP are counted as a single user when downloading as a guest. If you download files as a logged user than different user downloads will make a separate entry in stats table even when users are using the same IP.
Yup, plugin was installed but not activated. I just installed it and the site went down and had to reactivate all needed plugins. I did not recognize the plugin so it was not activated. Still getting message when opening membership options but downloads and membership does work. Will mark resolved.
Is there a simple way (e.g. code snippet in functions.php or similar) to prevent the download of ANY file for not-logged in users? Not on a per-file or per-category basis but globally.
If you are allowing the download only by logged users, then no need to collect the email address that is already associated with the account. Because you can get the all downloaders email address from the Downloads Stats page when exporting the download history. So, only activating the term lock serves your purpose.
It is also possible to make it work the way you explained above. It requires some code customization. You have to use a custom template for /download-manager/tpls/lock-options/email-lock-form.php
You don’t need custom fields to get user agreement. The “Terms and Conditions” lock does exactly what you want. Enable the lock from Package Settings Lock Options To know who accepted the terms enable the email lock too. You can see all collected email addresses from Downloads Subscribers page.
Place the file in /active-theme/download-manager/wpdm-all-downloads.php location to override the default template. Then use tags in your all packages shortcode to show package tags.
