WordPress Download Manager Pro v4.0.0 Beta 1 has been released

WordPress Download Manager Pro v4.0.0 Beta 1 has been released. Here WordPress Download Manager Pro is changed a lot to give you better experience in managing your files & document downloads. Mainly it moved to Custom Post Type, that will enable you to enjoy all regular features of WordPress Standard posts or pages. Also total Admin UI re-designed to give it a better and comfortable look. Here are the full list of changes came with v 4.0.0:

• Fixed all notices
• Re-constructed internal code for better security

As always the download is available in your members area, under orders tab.

If you are new user simply download and install Download Manager 4.0.0 Beta 1, But if you already using 3.3.8 for a period and have files there, please follow the steps:

1. Delete wpdm pro 3.3.8 from wp-admin plugin manager ( don’t worry, it will not delete your files )
2. Install & Activate v4.0.0 Beta 1
3. Install WPDM 3 to 4 Data Migration Add-on
4. Go to Download Manager Settings Page
5. Click on migrate Tab
   
6. There you will see the list of all old packages, select max 100 package at a time, then click on “Save Settings” button at the button
7. You can do that repeatedly until you are done with importing all packages
8. Finally you’re ready to continue with wpdm pro 4.0.0

Ok, as it is first beta release, there you may find some minor glitch, but none of those will cause any functional issue. So please don’t shoot me yet, coming with final release very soon.
