This link shows what should happen [from your reply above] but it does nothing, even after clearing cache, incognito button and completely new machine [spun up a vm]

same issue, cache doesn’t fix and a CDN cache clear makes no sense, can’t even download it from YOUR site.

Thanks for this. I’m going to have to move away from this tool soon as every time there’s an update there’s just too much work to do. I’m hoping this client pays for a replacement and we don’t lose them.

Sigh, we can’t do that for this customer, there are too many different file names. Can’t is not a good word in customer service. You can’t take this on as a feature request?

Is there any way to make the tags assigned to packages only visible to the group the package is assigned to? The client is having a privacy issue and doesn’t want the names of packages assigned to one group visible to the other. That could help us solve the issue.

what do we need to do to get this where it searches the files in a package?

We need to have the search, filters, file list and have the search work properly.

Do none of your customers need this? Over years we have a lot of packages listed and it’s hard for them to search for the file names. This can’t be hard to do? Please advise.

Sorry, I think I see part of the issue.

Our current shortccode is your shortcode:

[wpdm_archive_filter items_per_page=”10″ cols=1 colspad=2 colsphone=1 template=”5908b1518561d”]

and that does list the files, however, the search does not work. It only searches for the packages.

if you login to the site with dfreeman pw: goCANES2k!!9, you’ll see a lot more files. If you search for 112020 you only get two returns, even though many of the files have that in the name.

we need to be able to search within packages too.

Also, with this new layout you have, notice that if you try to search for keywords or for a data range, that filter doesn’t work with that shortcode.

the categories search works, but the filter date rate does not. Nothing happens when you click it.

The link you provided lists the following shortcodes:

We have this already:

The huge difference is that none of the ones you are providing now LISTS THE FILES along with providing the search. Please explain?

Okay, thanks for that, but, the originally reported issue was that the search is not searching for file names. It only searches and returns results for the title of the PACKAGE. We need the client portal to work, not just an empty search bar at the top of the page, please. Thanks!

Please explain to me what the point was of giving you access to our site if you’re not going to troubleshoot it there?

What are the necessary active plugins for that to work? That short code ONLY works on our site before the upgrade. Obviously it doesn’t mean a hill of beans to me if it’s working on other sites. I have no stake in them.

Please do as you said you would and check our site.

yeah, sorry, that’s not the point. the problem is resolved the point is that the process of upgrading this plugin is a huge hassle compared to other paid plugins that cost less. I don’t need help here, just providing information so you can make the product better. thanks

same here, uploading never goes well for us. You can’t install the add-ons from the front end every, you always have to download and then upload them. about to post ANOTHER issue. perhaps some of us that rely on your plugin can assist in beta releases rather than run into these issues randomly

not sure what you mean by email locked package? I was saying we quit receiving all emails. it looks like you fixed the reset password link though.

Now that you changed the login page settings, will it still manage what users can see and can’t see?

I will test assigning a package and make sure those emails are coming through and reply back.

Okay, you have admin rights, feel free to change password to donfreeman, but still doesn’t answer my question. You are saying user role and AAC username. Our goal is to not have to have a role for every user. That’s the point that I think is being missed here.

I realize it may not be something you do now and so we can wait, but to me there is value to, again:

As an admin be able to assign either to groups or to individuals and a mix of the two.

Groups would be tied to a role and a user gets assigned to that group by assigning them to the role.

So, for your AAC test, you need to create a NON-AAC user role and NOT assign that AAC user to the that role.

Then, create a package and assign the package to NON-AAC user role and AAC User. Only then will you see what I’m getting at.

steps again:

1 – Create a TEST USER ROLE. Assign a User A to it.
2 -Create User B, do not assign a role to it other than maybe subscriber or something similar, anything but TEST USER ROLE.
3- Create package, assign to TEST USER ROLE in ASSIGNMENT
4- Add USER B to MEMBER

Success would be that USER A and USER B would both see the package.

Here’s the use case scenario:

Login with one browser using:

You’ll get nothing, Go in other browser as admin, look at setting for this file ( PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING HERE)

This is the point. The goal is to be able to choose either groups or individuals to view files. If the file can be seen by an entire group, we don’t have to select the individuals one-by-one. But at times, we want to give access to a full group + one individual person.
