I see now, I suggest adding the full version number there, i.e., instead of displaying just 4.6, maybe 4.6.9. May not matter with the autoupdates coming though

Sorry, can you explain this again? When I go to my purchases area, it only shows version 4.6. That’s what I have installed?

I will review, but did you fix the license issue as well while you were in so we’ll be able to update? Thanks, will write back after I have reviewed.

I’m sorry for my late reply too, but this isn’t making sense. What you’re saying is that I have to make a user role for every individual. That seems very silly. It seems more logical to set it up so that a user can be added without being a member of a ROLE GROUP. That, or you should simply have your ACCESSIBLE field search the database for both groups and admins. It’s silly to make us make a role for every single user.

Thank you for your patience and a great product. That did the trick!

No sir, we want the page to match the page you set up here (I provided link to the forum post):

http://dd9.7cc.mwp.accessdomain.com/clients/

Notice how when that page loads, all the files load AND the search tool.

So, here’s what I don’t get:

You guys created this page for us:

http://dd9.7cc.mwp.accessdomain.com/clients/

We gave you access, you created the template and then provide the shortcode in the article.

Notice that it doesn’t require me to click search to see all my files.

I mimicked the template on our live site and copied the shortcode over. Just need to make live act like staging.

[wpdm-search-page cols=”4″ items_per_page=”10″ cols=1 link_template=”5901ea3fa835b”]

[wpdm_packages items_per_page="20" jstable=1 cols=1 order_by="date" order="ASC/DESC" template="5901ea3fa835b"]

Do you mind changing it? The thing is, I had you set it up on our staging server and then I copied it over from there to the live site. So, don’t get why it’s not doing what it’s doing on staging?

also, if you can confirm that the USER ROLE EDITOR plugin will work. we are creating a role for each company for the client so they can send the files and grant access to a big group by only adding the role instead of the individual member.

Okay, so, yes, that’s the issue, it seems clear that the problem is that the old way of listing files showed all files and provided the search function. We need the file list to do this. It actually did it/does it on the staging site.

Notice here on the page you guys set up, I get all files assigned to me without having to click search:

I will review and though I appreciate things working for your user, understand that we need to know why it wasn’t working for us. Did you adjust something?

We want files to show on the page on-load and not require a search. The search is for refinement.

Yeah, sorry, I had hoped you would have looked yesterday, had to move forward with changes as we are approaching review with client and launch date.

Standby for another example, but please tell us: previously, we were using the default search page. Since then, in another thread, you have helped us set up the FILE LIST. Will having the file list effectively solve this issue for us?

As stated above, the problem is that you are not allowing the person to download, but in your default template, it does show the package even though the person can’t access it to download. It also takes them to a page with just a blank.

Just wanted to follow up here. We’re hoping to launch Monday and this is a crucial aspect of the site setup. Thanks!

Thanks. And to be more clear, the problem is that the files show up in the queue. When you click on the package, you get a blank page, but we don’t want them to see the file at all. There’s no reason it should list it if they don’t have access to it.

First screenshot shows the package from admin, which should only be shown to one user (tester):

This screenshot shows me logged in as the user tester2 and still seeing the file listed:
https://www.evernote.com/l/AKQbq9Raqx1DCYkvYbqJh4bRureKizninj4

This screenshot shows the page that you get if you click on it. It’s just a blank page.

Maybe the issue is how to set up the queue to not display links that a person doesn’t have access to?

Awesome, do you mind telling me what you did so I can apply to the live site?

Also, not to push my luck, but is there a way to show the file extension (so they know it’s a pdf or zip, etc?)

Really appreciate it!
